Rebecca Mader (Once Upon a Time, Lost) joins me this week and opens up on her experiences with bullying in her life and how it has shaped who she is today and how she maneuvers in this industry.
Rebecca also shares her experience with therapy and how it has impacted both her personal friendships and romantic relationships.

Rebecca Mader is just a treasure. She seems like such a very sweet person, and likely hysterical to be around. And in Season 5 of Once Upon a Time, she was ACTING. I tear up even watching clips of some of Zelena's more powerful moments

Wow, What an engaging and relatable episode. As someone who was also bullied for many of their school years, it was refreshing to hear a celebrity talk about this. My heart went out to this beautiful woman. So glad she was able to come onto the show this week!

She’s had a strain of bad luck with good shows being cancelled these past few years and she guest starred on so many things, from Mad Men to True Detective, Suits or Castle. I wonder how she’s doing. Loved Rebecca’s personality, how she’s not scared to say anything. I got bullied when I was in school too. They picked on me because I had buck teeth, not because I sucked my thumb but because my second teeth just came in like that. Eventually I got braces and had to wear the headgear and everything. It was not fun. It does stick with you, the bullying and I just hate it when I see or hear about it now. Some kids can be really mean and now it’s even worse with the technology now,. They can put it out everywhere.

Loved this podcast! I can relate about the childhood bullying and it really sticks with you. I completely understand and share in those emotions that well up when I see someone being bullied or feel like someone is trying to bully me. I really loved watching Rebecca in Once Upon a Time, she was fantastic in it and is a spectacular actress. And for those that would like the Freddy lyrics: One, two, Freddy's coming for you Three, four, better lock your door Five, six, grab your crucifix Seven, eight, gonna stay up late Nine, ten, never sleep again Had nightmares for a very long time after watching the first move lol.

This quarantine and watching this podcast has helped me a lot mentally, the money is scarce but that happens with or without quarantine. I realized i was too busy trying to be ok with everybody, i remembered that i´m pretty much good being on my own, i like people but i guess we have to become a little more selective with our aquaintances. Great podcast i bet it has helped a lot of people, at least as much as it has helped me. Greetings from México.

I am such a huge fan of Rebecca's. I loved it when she was in Once Upon a Time. The way she was acting she had me really believe she was the Wicked Witch of the West. If I have a daughter in the future I am naming her Zelena Avery

Bullying seems to be a big part of American life. I fortunately have been able to put a stop to being bullied as a kid as when people tried, I ignored them or dealt with it. Either approach got them to stop. Ignoring means they don't get the reaction they want and they eventually give up. Dealing with it surprises them because they cannot believe you take action. Ignoring usually worked better. I feel for anyone who has trouble dealing with it. That date she mentions at the start of the discussion - that guy is such a douche.
