Four Flat Fender Jeeps take on the Lost Sierra North of Truckee California. This was a shake down run to test my fresh Locker Stocker builds Clover, and Two Step, as well as Paul's newly aquired Modified Jeep Uncle Ned before heading to the Rubicon Trail. Our goal was to go from Truckee, CA to Johnsville, CA entirely off pavement on forest roads and Jeep trails. Thanks to our group for allowing me to use some of their film footage!

Back in the 80’s we used the trail out of Gold Valley up to Snake Lake. The trail going down was so dangerous the forest service wouldn’t allow anyone to use it. They wouldn’t even allow our local club to adopt it. Obviously someone has gotten this trail in shape.

The trail is called Gold Valley OHV Snake Lake Loop.

I believe it’s a Dana 44 tapered that has been converted to full floating. It has lockable hubs in the rear for flat towing. It broke at the hub and was 27 spline count.
