Lost Time, as I did lost time as always during recording, can't control the time, don't know if it was 10 min or 30 min gone...?
Anyway, live performance recording, 20 min of video and 45 min of audio:)
I must admit after 25 min it's getting repetitive, and boring:), but hey, that's live performance, you make mistakes, and you carry on.
Tools and technicals :
Model D - plays main role here, being set to play a chord/stab (3 oc tuned to the minor chord)
Roland TR8 - drums as always
Elektron model cycles - lovely, basic/simple bass line, but fcuking groovy:)
Juno 06a - that fat arpeggio sequence.... I know I overdid it with it, it's too often in the song, but, I must admit ...i was carried away by the sound
Maschine NI - as a vst host and mixer, plus this time I sampled juno and model D - 1 bar loop with modulating stabs and used that; also there is a sampled from roland tr8, basic drum loop, which I send over to NI's resonator - hence that HOUSE'y sound
Recording:
It was multitracked (unfortunately, Roland TR8 only 4 tracks) where I noticed snares are way too loud, lessons learned - next time I need to use USB and multitrack TR8 via usb - all 13 tracks separately.
I didn't mix it properly, just set the levels and bounce the stereo file. Further I did 'fast' master, just touch of EQ, compression and limiter to make it competitively loud.
To proper mix it I would need to re-record it completely, and have access to single Roland's TR8 tracks/instruments, as I noticed the volume need to be better control.
