Kevin Stiver wrote the book on Glen White, PA after he started exploring local history with his grandfather. The mining town was abandoned when its residents were forced to leave. Only a few living people still remember the tiny community on the hill behind the Horseshoe Curve, near Altoona, PA.
Kevin Stiver also started the Facebook page, "Altoona Pennsylvania History" which currently has 10,000 followers. We sat down at Baker Mansion to talk about his book and why he's so passionate about preserving history.
