If Paul had an issue with genealogies in and of themselves he wouldn't have included the modifier ENDLESS, or used the word fables - since actual genealogies are neither endless nor fables, they're legitimate historical records and genealogies that go back to Adam quite clearly have an end. The genealogies Paul was referring to in 1Tim1:4, however, were created to prove that certain people descended from the Greek pantheon, making them both fables and endless. Fables because the concept contradicts scripture, and endless because there's no ultimate endpoint with a single patriarch and matriarch such as Adam and Eve. The fact that the bible is filled with Genealogies from Genesis to Revelation should be a clue that legitimate genealogical records aren't the issue.

Because we should be focused on the gospels of Jesus in the New Testament. Not the 12 tribes in the Old Testament. We are no longer in the old covenant we are in the new covenant in the new Testament. To sum it up, most important thing to know as a Christian that Jesus teaches in his gospels is to love your God with all your mind, body and soul first. And love your neighbor as you love yourself. These are the 2 greatest Commandments we should follow. It's about loving your neighbors and putting God first in your life.
