Fun-Fact: Dwarves are a bit taller than hobbits in Tolkiens Universe thats why they cast the Hobbit's height in a way that they fit to the dwarfs so they at least didn't need to use perspective and CGI when dwarves are interacting with hobbits. Thats why the hobbits were cast around 5'6 and Gimli was with over 6 foot actually the tallest actor of the fellowship just so he could fit to the hobbits size-wise.
