Not sure what has been going on in legendary servers any further than launch, which was underwhelming in terms of balance for players who witnessed the original release. I remember facerolling Carn Dûm with half a fellowship, skipping or ignoring mechanics. Likewise, recreating anything remotely resembling Moria on release likely requires resources the company doesn't have. So I'm mostly looking forward to the new content which they have to adjust to the meta. Thank you for the summary and the nice editing.

So when they announced Umbar i was hopefull to catch up on all previous content before and play that on release. That didnt quite work out and now a year later im still not up to date and wont make it before the expansion so maybe next year...
Oh great, a nerf on the LM just when im still not sure wether the rework was totally good, specially when DAMAGE is the only advantage we got in exchange of ripping the class appart by taking away BASIC cc skills and Pet tanking combat, things that SHOULDNT BE PARTICULAR TO ANY TRAIT LINE, because theyre the backbone of wizard combat (in any RPG) and because theyre part of the class essence in terms of lore. I dont know, not even getting extra damage in exchange of those swaps seemed a good business to me, some fights are easier, but big Boss battles, that deal with peculiar tactics we needed a bit of CC and Bear tanking. Another thing, the damage output is SO LOW in yellow line that not even its own skills avail you in crowd fight, because you cant FINISH them of when you need. Blue line Loremasters are also a bit low in personal damage, wich is not a problem at firts but becomes a issue when youre pet is facing a crowd and you would need to pull someoene over (likely a big mob) and finish him by yourself while he deeals with the rest.
And Hunters probably going to be made useless now too, it seems that the Devs think people only play raids etc whilst some of us just want to quest in landscape.
I don't think they will ruin it or anything, probably just small adjustments as Red really is too strong in some parts like early levels for instance. We will see!
They reworked the hunter 3 times already, lag cool down and whatever else he is bloody slow wit 4 o5 attackers he almost cant do combat due too cool down, minstrel was repaird for bed healing, he still needs 8 heals on himself too heal, warden is just as slow as everybody else, he was the fasted com batter, burglar is bad at combat, the other chars are ok even the new ones
First, there is no reason why you couldn't play both. But some base elements of what's different in LOTRO: - It's the truest form of Tolkien's Middle-Earth if you want to experience it outside of other media. - Having played both, LotRO I would say has far more emphasis on the journey than the endgame, similarly like Classic WoW used to be. - It's definitely a classic-style MMORPG, that's almost DND-esque versus WoW's modern approach. - It's Free to Play for hundreds of hours of content.
That is true, but you must be able to see it from others point of view aswell. Not only yours. The server is going well. Populated and blooming. And still new people are arriving and want to explore the 1-50 era. They cannot just turn over to Moria once many has reached 50. It annoys me, but I do understand it. That means more will be joining for Moria whenever it comes out.
