Will they have solved it, or will the colour flashing be too much? Black can be very low latency because it is just bringing up all the three colours, but Gallery 3 works by moving the colour particles sequentially. So this is why you get the flash before it lands on any given colour. Loved the Remarkable 2 with folio keyboard and really looking forward to receiving the new one. I think of it as very much a specialised tool which is amazing at what it does, for a writer and creative who wants a distraction free environment it’s been one of my best ever purchases. Really looking forward to the colour and front light.

7:40 you're actually kinda wrong here. Wacom pens not only let the screen know they're coming, they also let the tablet know all other relevant parameters, including tilt and angle. This is also what the apple pencil does. Some can do barrel roll too, but this is not too common anymore as wacom discontinued it a while back (it may be coming back soon though given what apple has done). Apart from barrel roll, **everything that the apple pencil can do, the wacom ones can do too**.

Thanks for this, yeah, I was aware that the screen senses the EM cone before the pressure, but what I meant by that was the bluetooth connectivity of the pen. But yep, I agree the Wacom would always be my pen standard of choice. :-)

I have a reMarkable 2 and I take my notes without scrolling vertically or horizontally. This method ensures that the entire content of a page appears in page preview mode. If I switch from the reMarkable 2 to the reMarkable Paper Pro, will there be a blank space on the right side of all my notes due to the larger screen? Could you please clarify this?

Remarkable tech for Gallery 3 amuses me to be honest. Many people already expect more devices with gallery 3, because RM did that. Personally, I think that Remarkable made a big investment and took a great risk with Gallery 3. I'm afraid RM gallery 3 tech is proprietary and reserved for RM only. Thus, I would not expect many more devices with this type of screen but rather wait for better Gallery tech.

Probably 2/3 are remarkable's. Gallery 3 had a long term reliability problem, and often had bluish blacks. These could only be solved by E-ink's production side. That's something everyone else could enjoy. The removal of the Wacom layer and the reduction of latency with another pen technology are Remarkable's. Same with how they managed ghosting. I'm not sure about the responsiveness. Part of it is software and firmware design, so it could be credited to remarkable. But E-ink could have revised the panel as well. Perhaps other companies could be inspired to make Gallery 3+ similarly responsive with their own methods.

I ordered the reMarkable Paper Pro and then cancelled it because I didn't want to pay for a subscription especially after paying $800 for the tablet.

check out the news on the T2000 controller chip. this chip will enhance color eink, including gallery 3 and kaleido 3.

@@KitBetts-Masters (Please note the following is not officially confirmed) rm paper pro is likely to be the first consumer device to use this chip. this (plus other factors) explained the performance leap over the old gallery 3 devices. Upcoming devices (new kindles, new boox,...) will likely have it, too.

@@publicname515 the pages extend downwards infinitely but not in the x dimension as well unfortunately. Perhaps that's a feature that they will add later. Some people get around this by working on large sized pdf files which you can zoom in and out, but that's where you do eventually get a performance issue of they are too big!

These live stream extract videos really are super annoying. I unsubscribed from your channel months ago because of them (they were filling up my subscriptions feed for no reason). But I still can’t get away from them - when I search for a particular device, lots of these pointless repeating videos are returned. Please stop doing it.

To me, this is just a notetaker and PDF reader/annotator. For those who need something to help them focus it does what it is intended to do. But, for people like me who want to limit the amount devices they carry and need to work with MS Office products, this is not worth nearly the US $1,000.00 price tag. Another thing I noticed is that like the reMarkable 2 typing does not use the full width of the screen and all the text seems to be centered which increases page scrolling. If I have to cut and paste what I type into Word and reformat my page breaks this is another time-consuming task that I don't need. Overall this is a focused elegantly designed tablet that reminds me of Apple products which I don't use or ever own at this point in my life. Thank you Kit for your hard work bringing these videos to us👍👏. Kudos from NYC🗽.

@@ozwin2 If color is not needed I would go with a Boox Note Air 3. If you don't need expandable storage then I would choose a Boox Go 10.3, I'm assuming you need Android Apps. I am a construction Senior Project Manager with multiple sites managed by various Project Managers. I carry a Boox Note Air 3C, a phone and a power bank it is all I need in my daily routine. Hope this is somewhat helpful sorry for bing long-winded.

I am assuming you need Android compatibility. If you need a smaller device then a Supernote Nomad would be a great choice with limited Android App support in my opinion. I am a construction Senior Project Manager and manage multiple sites with various Project Managers. My daily carry is a Boox Note Air 3C, a phone, and a power bank. I can do everything I need with just two devices. Hope this was helpful and not too long-winded.

Yeah, personally I'm loving the conversations that these clips capture. If you look at it this way. ~5000 people watched my launch live stream that this is taken from. But many people don't want to sit through 1 hr 30 mins to get to the part that they are interested in. So by taking the time to edit it down like this many more people can find answers to questions that they have. This is an important moment in the tech sector that I focus on and yeah, I intend to cover it in detail. Kind thanks for the comment.
