Lotus 25 Coventry Climax  

WOW! Just... WOW! Not in my wheelhouse (50-60-70's American), but, after 50+ years of building plastic kits and not being able to build anymore due to health issues, I'm overjoyed that there are still those who persue the hobby to such a degree of excellance! The option to add wiring (gauge panel, engine, etc.) would be very tempting for the neurotic, considering the removable body panels, but your result is stunning! Keep building, sir!

Great build Sandy, it's very close to the real car, especially the fragility of the suspension members, Chapman was always trying to lose weight where he could, which is why the cars used to fail with alarming regularity, fabulous kit of an iconic car, well done.

Very nice build. In 1964, after Jim Clark won the Indy 500, if I remember correctly, AMT came out with a model of his car, which I bought. As is the case with the Tamiya kit, assembling and aligning the "bag of snacks " exhaust took extra care and attention. Your advice about that aspect of the build is good. The AMT kit was Good for it's time, but I remember being disappointed with the thinness of the yellow stripe decals. The green showed through. Enjoy this channel.

A wonderful and sought after model kit of a classic race car, this and the Honda F1 really standout in any collection.

Got this in the stash but only half built. It was going to be one in a particular diorama. There was a part on the tree that I had to remove and knew that I was going to cut myself because there was nothing to press it against except my thumb. Bought some cutters since though

I remember a model very similar but at the time it even had a working suspension and soft rubber tires. But this was 55 years ago.

Turned out great Doug. These old racers were a real mans car, no computer interface from the pits. Have you ever tried using Tamiya Panel Liner? Us military modelers use it like you did India Ink..
