Tiramisu is a delicious classic Italian dessert, made with ladyfinger biscuits dipped in coffee and layered with a mixture of mascarpone cheese, eggs and sugar, and topped with cocoa powder . Lotus Biscoff biscuits have a rich, caramelised flavour, that is so addictive. Who wouldn't love an absolutely delightful biscoff twist to Italian Tiramisu?
SpiceO'logy Lab brings to you the recipe for decadent and indulgent Lotus Biscoff Tiramisu. It's a perfect dessert and easy holiday treat for this Christmas festive season and New Year! The caramelised crumbly biscoff biscuits soaked in coffee, along with layers of perfectly smooth, creamy and fluffy cream-cheese with biscoff biscuit spread, and cocoa powder in between the layers, is just so drool-worthy. It is so delicate and luscious that every spoonful just melts in your mouth, and you will crave for more!
Total Cook Time: 30 Minutes + 6 - 8 Hours
Servings: 6 - 8
Ingredients:
Hot Water - 3/4 Cup
Instant Coffee Powder - 1 Tbsp
Sugar - 4 Tbsp
Mascarpone/ Cream Cheese - 250 Grams
Powdered Sugar - 1/4 Cup
Vanilla Extract - 1 Tsp
Melted Lotus Biscoff Biscuit Spread - 1/3 Cup
Cold Whipping/ Heavy Cream - 400ml
Lotus Biscoff Biscuits - 70 - 80
Cocoa Powder - For Topping
Process:
1. Make coffee by mixing hot water, instant coffee powder and sugar, till well-dissolved. Chill in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes or till the cheese-cream mixture is prepared.
2. In a large mixing bowl, add the Mascarpone or Cream Cheese along with powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Whisk till soft and fluffy. Add melted Lotus Biscoff biscuit spread and whisk till combined.
3. Add cold whipping/ heavy cream in a bowl and whisk till stiff peaks are formed.
4. Pour the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture. Whisk till combined.
5. Transfer the cheese-cream mixture to a piping bag.
6. Take out the cold coffee from the fridge.
7. Dip the Biscoff biscuits in the cold coffee and place two layers of biscuits in a large baking dish (9 × 9 Inch).
8. Dust some cocoa powder on top of the layer of biscuits.
9. Spread a layer of the cheese-cream mixture. You could also scoop the cheese-cream mixture into the baking dish instead of using a piping bag.
10. Dip the Biscoff biscuits in the cold coffee again and place two layers of biscuits on top of the cheese-cream layer.
11. Dust some cocoa powder on top again.
12. Then, spread another layer of cheese-cream mixture.
13. Smoothen out and level the top cheese-cream layer.
14. Chill the Lotus Biscoff Tiramisu for about 6-8 Hours or till ready-to-serve in the refrigerator.
15. Before serving, dust some cocoa powder on top, and enjoy the decadent Lotus Biscoff Tiramisu!
