I literally just bought these molds & then your video popped up (liked 👍& subscribed). I had in mind to use resin, but did gypsum for my first set. I can't thank you enough for sharing, as I am new to using resin (have only made a few items). Your video was so helpful & beautiful work! 💞🙏😃👍👏👏👏
What product did you use? I want to try jesmonite so badly! It's hard to get here though! I looked into white cement but bulky the time you add enough sand and aggregate for it to be sturdy I'm not sure how functional it would be in fussier molds...
How can you prevent the bubbles from forming in the mold? I've tried everything. Letting the resin sit in the cup before pouring to allow bubbles to rise and when pouring it in the mold, it still manage to get in there. Any tips would be appreciated 💜
Where are the bubbles forming on just the back or like in the corners of the piece when you demold? If they are on what becomes the front you may have to run a toothpick around the edges and inside to release any trapped air pockets for the back side spritz with alcohol every 10 minutes or so until the bubbles stop forming. Some of the best resin artist I have seen still get some bubbles.... some people do run a heat gun on their molds. I personally don't because I've melted some of the cheaper mold to my resin that way...
@@RaesTurquoiseTurtle they move toward the bottom on the sides if that makes sense. If you run your fingers along the surface on the bottom after the curing period, you could feel where the bubbles were. I learned my lesson with the heat gun on those tealight molds! 😂😅 I'll have to try with the toothpick tip you suggested!
Those are so very beautiful 😍 I love the video and I just found you today. I may go to your channel and be nosey.. I hope you do not mind. I am not a youtuber just a artist/ crafter. Thanks for your time. Take care. HUGS Sheryl 💙🎨💙
