Thank you John, after getting a lot of feedback from the BHO members I realize I have to get going with vamping. So I'm going to go for it and watch all your vamping vids! Thank you so much for doing this! Milli.
Awesome lesson. You have helped me so much with all your videos. Love your banjo as well, is that an rb4 if so thats what im playing. Cant say much for the heels cup (lol) seeing as how im a Duke fan. All jokes aside you're an awesome instructor, thanks for all your help.
greg , hey thanks so much for the kind words! I'm really happy to hear my vices see helping. That was my 1934 TB-3 flathead, which I converted to five string by building a neck. I like the FE style 4 pattern so just used that for the conversion instead on the style 3 pattern. A few years later after this video date I sold the banjo.
I was wondering if you have done a lesson on walking into chords up the neck using vamping. I think that sounds so cool but just don't hear it much anymore. I think im asking the question right but its mostly done in slower songs wher the player is vamping and walking in and out of chords. If you have tell me which lesson it is if not i would appreciate it when you get time if you could post one.
greg, I'm sure I have, it's easier to search for them on the lick of the week website, go to my personal website, John boulding.com or google lick of the week. There's an index of videos by subject matter.
