Six thumbs down??? Seriously? Just Between You and Me is a monstrously hard song to sing even for a solid tenor. This is good stuff. Lou has to be the most underrated rock singer of his era
Underrated? Everyone recognized and loved the voice of Lou Gramm. Everyone knows Kelly Henson can't hold a candle to the one and only Lou Gramm - but otherwise I think we agree that he was and still is an amazing vocalist even into his 70s...and that's not even mentioning his songwriting.
Don't know why critics are babbling about "breathing space". Truth is . Singing those songs back then were really a none issue for Lou . He wrote those songs 🎵 and he had that voice to pull it off. Imitators had difficulty because, it's simple 👉 They can't imitate Lou, they duplicate or ever be Lou Gramm. The man set a high bar and I'm glad he did it. 5:29
Underrated because muck stitched it up with Atlantic records to hold him back. He was micks slave. I do hope he learnt to draw up a contract and not push pieces of paper across a table.
He ran out of breath a few times in the chorus and his voice broke several times... Notes are really high for a live performance... even for the great Lou.
How about you point them out because there are two songs here. What you think may not actually be the case. He actually uses extra breaths called catch breaths, which help him to maintain the intensity in his voice. I study Lou's technique.
WITHOUT A DOUBT, LOU HAS FULL MASTERY OVER HIS VOICE RANGES, AND ANY ONE CAN CLEARLY SEE THAT SINGING AND PERFORMING IS TRULY HIS LIFES' PASSION. HE IS GREAT AT WHAT HE DOES AND VERY DEDICATED TO DOING IT. HE IS LIVING HIS LIFE LONG DREAM TO THE FULLEST .I LOVE LOU GRAMM FOREVER.
Couldn’t agree with you more! Lou was a powerhouse back in day. Every live performance I seen him do back then was great just as good as the album version. I feel like in a way god gave him this great gift as a singer and than took it away from him it sucks will never get to hear that classic voice again!!!
..but the way he fought back was just so amazing like asking G. to give him back what was there and persevered, nothing is impossible with Him...i noticed that his life was really all about music, singing his life to us...my take...his music is alive will always be, in my lifetime...😘

With all that Lou has been through, there's some good news, I recently saw a bootleg performance of a recent Christmas party for 2016, and Lou's voice sounded great, its much harder for him to hit those high notes, but did a great job nonetheless, It really sucks getting old or sick, but if you strive and keep working and don't give up, I believe anything is possible. I listen to Lou on a daily basis and despite being only 20 and not being able to see him or Steve Perry live, they will always be my favorite singers of all time. Lou is such an inspiration for me and I will always be thankful and glad for the music he produced. Thank you, Lou. You are truly amazing, wonderfully blessed and talented❤️

Yes... Mother Nature was particularly generous with Lou, she gave him this incredible voice, beauty, charm, talent, intensity, passion, etc... The whole package!!

O Lou Gramm estava nessa época na sua carreira solo paralela porque devia voltar para o seu grupo quando quisesse te chamar, pêlo que entendi não foi de uma hora pra outra que ele voltou porque o John Edwards estava no grupo Foreigner, ele só voltou para o grupo depois de três anos, em 1993.talvez se ele não tivesse voltado as críticas cairia para o 2 vocalista. Mas ele preza muito o seu amigo Mick Jones tanto que mesmo depois de 3 anos depois que ele voltou veio a doença, eu sei que foi muito duro ter ficado doente mas a doença não escolhe só pessoas pobres dá em super star e infelizmente foi acontecer justamente com ele que eu admiro muito como muitos daquela época. Mas o fascinante que ele quis cumprir todos os compromissos de shows mesmo doente e eu observei que tem alguns shows de 1995 ele estava muito ofegante quando conversava com o público. Ainda bem que isso tudo são águas passadas, hoje ele se recuperou e continua sendo um excelente cantor como sempre foi. Ele é um cantante esplêndido e inesquecível.

Just read a touching story about Lou..he said in an interview that at this time..in 1989 he was single again after his divorce and he sang these songs with so much passion because he was longing for love again that was missing from his life.🥺💕😘👑🎤
Era tão lindo antigamente quando um cantor se apresentava no programa de televisão. Eu achava muito lindo que ele dava um vinil para o apresentador apreciar a sua música e o apresentador ainda divulgava o Álbum do Cantor. Lou Gramm foi um desses cantores que presenteava os apresentadores com o seu álbum. E dessas horas que eu gostaria de ter sido apresentadora .Ele não apareceu no Brasil. Isso é triste porque eu gostaria de ter assistido. Foi em 1989 e teria sido bom se ele tivesse aparecido em algum programa de televisão brasileira.,porque eu teria mais lembranças dele ter aparecido mais na televisão talvez tenha aparecido algum vídeo de alguma música que fez muito sucesso no Fantástico porque teve música que foi tema de novelas da Globo mais eu não assisti, eu só assisti o vídeo da música I Want To Know What Love Is porque essa música foi exibida no programa de tarde que tinha na Globo aos domingos.
