For some strange reason the Letterman show took place in Chicago. And even stranger, Lou Reed was on. But the strangest thing of all was Lou Reed's mullet.
"For some strange reason the Letterman show took place in Chicago. And even stranger, Lou Reed was on. But the strangest thing of all was Lou Reed's mullet." LoL -- all true
I'm from the Netherlands. We have a daily show here that is supposed to be really hip, with a new band every night, only they are allowed to play for 1 minute. Watching this, as a great fan of Lou Reed's music, I realize once more how small and insignificant my country is, in terms of rock music. Just to think this band is actually Letterman's own. Love the horn section, you'd almost wish they were there on the 'New York' album as well. Thank you for uploading, keep on rocking in the free world.
...I agree, the mullet cut is a bit odd...but we're talking about Lou Reed here, and he never gave a rat's ass what other people thought of him, he just was who he was, at that time. His music said the rest...
other than David Sanborn can anyone please tell me who are the other musicians on the stage....this is a special letterman show being in chicago so are they locals from the windy city or are they Lou's touring band for this album or combination?...just a killer video so thank you for the posting.
I remember watching this live after hearing all my life about how incredible and important and talented Lou Reed was, and it was such a disappointment to hear such a derivative, boring, repetitious, tuneless song from a supposed rock god. The song sounds like a child wrote it. I've considered Reed to be vastly overrated ever since.
