YOUR NOT DRIVING A W900L, YOUR OPERATING A PIECE OF A EQUIPMENT THAT MAKES BEAUTIFUL MUSIC. AND IT'S A MASTERPIECE, AND ONLY REAL DRIVERS THAT SOUND. MAY GOD BLESS YOU, YOUR FAMILY, AND YOUR TRUCK!!
In Australia we keep our trucks practical. We don't fit steering wheels from cars,we don't sit so low that we cannot see the bonnet, and rubberised or Carpet floors help reduce noise, can heat, and are a bit more practical than Perspex, ours are designed as work vehicles not as rolling night clubs. And stretching trucks to ridiculous lengths is not indicative of serious transport.Im amazed to see so many half loads and unsecured loads inside yaalls trailers.Granted American trucks are the benchmarks of road transport machinery, but gee yaall seem to appreciate some really impractical, butchered specimens.
This man is an absolute delight to watch. So gentle on his rig, so respectful. The rig simply sounds like it's gently singing to itself, happy. The smoothest and most respectful driver I've seen on YT, Thank You sir!
Medically retired. Not by choice. I drove for 25 years. 3rd generation asphalt cowboy. I don't sleep good at night. Pain keeps waking me up. Plus i normally drove at. Well as often as I could. I stumbled across this video. Son u have urself one fine piece of equipment. That is the most beautiful sound I've heard in 10 years. Listening to u drive put me to sleep like singing a lullaby to baby. Man if only this lasted at least 8hrs I could sleep like bear in hibernation. Be safe out there driva. Keep the bugs of ur glass and the bears of yo ass. How can I loop this where it plays all night. Don't change a darn thing brother. Except ROLL ON.
Go to settings, the little gear icon in the corner of the screen, then down the list to additional settings where you will find a slider button to turn on loop. Happy sleeping.
@@gabriellaandgrantgilbertso160 So that I would know I went back and took a look. I saw him scanning the area to the right of the guard shack a good bit before he got there. Then he eased off of the throttle and leaned forward to see that right side again before he sure enough drove through the Stop sign at maybe just under 10 mph. To his left didn't matter because there is a huge building to that side, and no cross traffic. Oh well....
So basically what you do for a living is sit in your amazing office all day composing beautiful music while watching America pass by one mile at a time....life is good. May God hop in that passenger seat and keep you safe out there❤❤❤
If you fock in your 🦻🏿🦻🏻🦻 it doesn't mean that all truckers at the truck stop have same fetish. Most of us have no hearing issues and like to sleep in peace.
Short distance driving and city driving is always better for me to watch cause lots of shifting skills , downshifting skills, breaking , sense of awareness , I loved. U are a heck of a driver bro, good luck out there
@Nouphanh Pravongviengkham Yep. Automatics have everything. Well, except for fun; they don't have that. But that's okay because who would want to actually have fun and enjoy what they do for a living, right?
@Nouphanh Pravongviengkham Tell me how is an automatic more fuel efficient? Compared to a smooth operator like this, I can't imagine an auto would be any better.
@@magigooter2096 in my fun car yes, at work i just wanna drive. manuals are just for the ppl who wants it. in Europe they dont even sell manuals anymore unless its for special trucks or ppl who rly wants it. and its proven in cars that new automatics save more fuel thne manuals
Wow. Greetings from southern Africa. I take my hat of to this guy. You can tell he loves driving with a passion. He treats his truck like it's his special women. Gentle and kind to his equipment. No rushing the years no excessive revs. Pure joy to watch. I've allways had American trucks in my fleet because I believe in the Cummins/fuller/Rockwell combination. I ended up with a fleet of western stars and really enjoyed them. You sir would be a wonderful teacher of up and coming drivers. You could teach drivers how to respect their equipment. There are a lots of absolute cowboys out there driving rigs who should not be. They don't belong in the profession. They are in it just to make money.!!! You are an absolute pleasure to watch. Keep on trucking from south Africa. Paul
I am hooked on to watching this video. I drove trucks for 12 years and there is nonthing like hearing the sound of one of those straight piped Peterbuilts or Kenworth W900's .
Really sounds like music after 7oo miles, tuned up dash helps make money too.Retired after 30 years, last was 2005 Acert Twin Turbo,625 cat factory, bring it on, almost silent except for two turbos, second boosts 40 psi, ceeya!!!
That is a sweet sounding rig. Ive been playing ATS for a while now and its really given me a lot more repsect for guys (and gals) who do this for a living. Nice to see a professional at work.
Enjoy all your content no matter if your commenting or just driving . As for mic position , it had a great tone and wonderful rumble . Always like to hear your little one is doing well . Keep it coming , your doing a great job . 😎
Wow!! That sound, the shifting, that engine it’s music, that deep rumble, the pride of America!! Absolutely love it!! Thank you for sharing your experience and Journey!
You are operating a fine piece of machinery. Sounds like 777 on 18 wheels. I’ve been driving since the 90s and there’s nothing like that feeling of euphoria where you actually feel like the main component that is ingrained and attached to the engine itself that makes the machine move. 💪😁
SUPER GOOD STUFF, MADE ME LONELY FOR THE HI-WAY- AM MEDICALLY RETIRED DROVE FOR OVER 25 YRS OTR..LOVE TO WATCH YOU OPERATE GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY
Man I died and went to heaven. Memories of the days when I was doing exactly what you are. I assume you have an air ride cab since I know the roads aren't any better and you can see the torque twisting when you shift. The last 2 trucks I had were W9's with 3406's in them. I had 6 inch straight pipes on the first one but I think you have me beat for sound. This is just a real journey through time for me and I thank you for posting the videos. ASMR to the max. Beautiful rig inside and out, I am jealous. I will be waiting for the next video.
As a kid my dad was an over the road trucker and I would go with him any chance I could and then I played guitar in a band for years and now the only way I can sleep is listening to diesel engines on RU-vid...lol thanks for the upload, great sounding truck
In 2005 we went to Mexico. My parents live in the mountain side. And I remember at night when I couldn’t sleep I would always hear this noise except I didn’t know what that noise was but I liked the noise lol years later I understood the noise were coming from semis using the jake brake in the mountains roads.
Freaking amazing Rig. Very nice. Enjoyed the video. The skills it takes to work a truck like that in high traffic…all the respect! Let’s see some long haul cruising.
No shoes. Love that you keep the floor so clean by swapping your outside boots to driving "slippers"? Few seconds makes all the difference in safety, comfortability and cleaning. Respect to the dedication to having a clean workplace / home like that. :)
Talk bout puttin a smile on a man’s face, or ladies, this was it!!! As a retired driver, I’m gonna subscribe just so I can hear this again. I noticed how you didn’t get in a hurry with the traffic. Some drivers would feel the need to be passing everything in site but you didn’t. Yeah, I saw that “idiot “ , brother, I can tell that you seen that it’s not worth the paperwork. Excellent job of shifting.thanks for the video
This was a great video I have always loved big trucks and always wanted to be a truck driver. At this stage of my life I probably will never get the opportunity but this is the next best thing to it. Thanks again I loved it!
Its never too late! Went to CDL school with someone who just got out of prison and was 67 years old at the time and we are still friends to this day and he is still driving and this was back in '14!
I hope things get easier for you truckers soon. You guys keep the world going and I cant thank yall enough. Also I am absolutely jealous of that rig. What a beautiful W900. I really wanna get into trucking but seems like a real pain to get into at the moment.
Its only hard if you're an owner operator. As of right now i'm in the process of starting my trucking career starting with DOT transport running regional. They are paying me $750 a week while im in training.
There are some places willing to send you to CDL school when you hire on with them, look for driver trainee jobs, I have a interview tomorrow with Mclane for driver trainee hopefully that launches my truck driving career
@@Darthrocker06 750 a week aint great man.. and my guess is it wont go up all that much, if at all, after training. I just finished getting my first 3 months of experience OTR so I can run a regional route for a company that pays 1400 for a 50 hour week, home everyday with weekends off.. I also made 750 a week during the past 3 months. It is NOT enough for what the job is... you take tons of risk everytime you get behind the wheel and driving these things is harder work than you think (not to mention docking, fueling, refueling/other fluids, paperwork, inspections.. plus chaos of public roads.. everything from deer to construction to stupid people). Truck life is hard.. and the only way it is worth it is if you get paid enough. 3k a month is NOT enough.. shit, 5600 a month isnt enough. 2k a week is where it starts to make sense... however that's only true if you are a true professional and make your runs on time, everytime.. and with no major (costly) mistakes. It's harder than it sounds if you have tight deadlines... which they normally are. 750 a week makes sense for a brand new driver who is DEFINITELY going to fuck up something up, but there are drivers who figure it out quick and never make those newbie mistakes, and the pay should increase immediately if you make your first run on time.. cause at 750 a week with no late fees/other fines or fees they have to pay.... you are making your company alot of money.

I jus realized I watched this gentleman's 30 min video which was strangely relaxing. Keep on Truckin which is sum old jargon from back in the day. Be safe and stay healthy it will be an honor to be around your rig while I'm doing a road trip. You are very safety conscious
35 yrs welding in oilfield. Just bought a 389. Couldn't keep climbing up ladders and crawling through confined spaces. Didn't know what to do so I got my CDL and bought a truck which will be delivered end of April. I Know little about trucking so I watch vids like yours. You make it look effortless & Im sure there's lots of experience behind all that. I'll stick to the oilfield, delivering well equipment and spooling to the patch. You have a beautiful truck there and I'll have to take the time to customize my unit as well. Thx for your video.
What a great ride along , I love the way she responds to you, The exhaust and Jake break just convinced me to go for a ride. However you did well thank you for posting
Man what a sound! Please do 2-3 hour ASMR's, with engine startup at the beginning, super high RPM shifting, and engine shutdown at the end. I know you don't normally shift at super high RPM's, but I really want to hear that 3406E singing at the top of its lungs! Please let me know ASAP.
Big diesel truck engines only rev up to about 2000 rpm. This truck sure does sound terrific. BTW, the old EMD 2 stroke locomotives sound great, too. There is at least one 12 hour you tube video of one of those idling all night. I used to drive big trucks, but they were not as cool as this one.
Goodmorning from the netherlands first of all thanks for the outside sound that was amazing and even better than the inside (brutal ;) the Way you drive and shift is also nice keep up the great vids and we keep supporting with the likes and i saw you got a New born not so long ago Congrats with that i got 4 Girls and a Lil boy and they give me lots of Joy in my live so hope you get that to and you all stay healthy and save gr wesley
Beautiful. You drive the same way that I do. All low for the first four gears and floating the lot (unless it’s first four because it’s a 13 speed?). Sounds like 8” straight pipes to me but I could be wrong. Turbo sounds great too. Love the soft blue lighting. Looks cool without being too bright or orange. Great vid.
Rig sounds similar and just as good as mine just louder he is as smooth as I am too and that's coming from 1 of the best shifters on RU-vid nice w9 studio too
Personally not a fan of tiny steering wheels, but man that's a badass truck. It sounds incredible! Really enjoyed the ride and I can't imagine how much fun it must be to actually drive!
Is the engine an inline-six or a V8? Absolutely excellent field recording/ASMR/background while working. Excellent quality stereo recording. I wish all automotive/truck videos were recorded with this clear recording technique.
Love that sound, but how low you sit hurts my back just watching. I have 2 herniated and 1 bulged disc. Going from a spring seat to air seat saved my back, but had to have the seat all the way up.(am over 6’)
#GodBless our truckers!! How dare these elites gut thier lives with this fuel price gouging!! Stay strong, healthy, wealthy and prosperous my fellow Americans 🇺🇸 🇺🇲!! 💪🏼💪🏼😤
I just want all the truckers to unite because there is strength in unity and we stop the brokers from continuing to swindle with freight prices and at the same time stop our President Biden from relaxing with Ukraine because he is leading us to ruin with the price of diesel let's be united for a single week let's stop our trucks and we will see results
Yes Sir, the clip is saying you have loud exaust, but that's what i was begging for; i want to feel like i'm in the truck; that down shifting & engine breaking is so nice to hear. My D.ad was a mechanic for the Govmnt all his life.
This is the best example how to operate a truck with any diesel engine,he doesn't over tack it ( over rev ) or lugging it. They both are not good, this driver listens to the sound the engine. When you drive a truck long enough you learn what RPM to operate it so you don't damage it. Very well done sir. I drive two same brand of trucks & both I drive differently because one is a end dump & the other one is a lowboy truck , different horsepower ratings & how they are set up on the ECM.
Hey I loved the video and I watched the whole thing on a 5000 watt system so I got the sound and felt the rumble. Sounded great with mic placement and camera placement. Awesome video would love to ride a day with a loud trucker like you!! Looks Fun And The Sound Is Amazing!!!
Dude. When I'm in traffic next time, man, I promise I will pay much more attention to you truck drivers! Much respect! And, great video and fantastic sound!
