take that truck into the garage, park it and open the fridge for a cold one & light a blunt and pop in some Golden Earring "Twilight Zone" and enjoy. Rock on AutotopiaLA
Did you know that Earring has been together since 1961 as the Tornados first and scored a #1 hit in the UK and #13 US with Radar Love in 1973. Moontan, the album was one of my first albums, along with Robin Trower Bridge of Sighs. I love 50s trucks. The 58 Ford is my favorite since I rode in that fire chiefs 303 hp PI 361 in the Edsel was known as the E-400 PI for the torque which actually was 409 ft lbs. and doing a spring under Change and put on 3 inchPI drums lowered it just right for 245-60s on black 8 inch wheels all around. I have always wanted one! How about an 800-825 hp 413ci 410 FE with a pair of 3582s at 8 lbs and a 245@.050 and .600 at 10:1 cr and a C6 to shift at WOT at 6400.
Such a badass truck…the stark contrast between the exterior and interior is unbelievable. I was amazed by the engine bay but blown away by the interior 😮
Very cool truck. I just bought a truck that just arrived here in Australia and apparently it was used in an episode of the TV show Lassie. Its a 1951 Chevy apache. It's very pale blue and in reasonable shape. Haven't got it running as yet but it will need a bit of work to actually get it moving. It was owned by a guy in Oklahoma who moved there from California. Apparently he used the truck after it was in lassie as a work truck and parked it in the she'd in around 1988. It sat there till about 18 months before it came here. Im under a promise not to say who bought it and how much I paid so that's pretty much it. As there's no written notoriety as to it's film history I am pretty satisfied that I can do a retomod. My plans is to do something that doesn't make a huge amount of horsepower and mainly for going to car shows with it. It won't be a patina truck and one idea I have my friend who does my interiors for memos working on a slide out mobile phone wireless charging tray that comes out of the dash. The interior and engine and underneath will have as many brushes finish billet parts as possible. I want that modern clean look with a pastel color like blue or orange. Hidden wiring is a must and other items that can be relocated will be. I'm looking at getting a 50s Chevy delivery wagon to, on that was used as an ambuin America back in the 50s. And I want it to be a slammed modern van with a LS7. I know of one that's in Colorado and I've got a friend over there that's going to check it out for me. From what I've been told there is no engine in it but it has everything else which I guess is a bonus🤣 I wish it was in the drier parts of the states which means less rust but I can't have it my way all the time 🤣
That’s another rad Nostalgia Hot Rods build. Not over the top power but a really well thought out reliable truck with a perfect look. Love the channel. Glad I got to witness the filming and hang with you guys. Keep em coming Sean 🤙🏻
0:19 NICE TRUCK THANKS FOR SHOWING IT👍🇺🇸 😎😎 JOE FROM NOSTALGIA HOT RODS 👍👍🇺🇸 5:44 it’s not overly loud ITS JUST PURE POWER 😳 16:29 GREAT TIMES THANKS AGAIN FOR ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO AND BY THE WAY THIS TRUCK IS PROBABLY ON EVERYONE AT THE SHOPS TOP FIVE LIST AS WELL👍👍😎😎
Has to be one of my favorite trucks and videos from you guys. I’m critical of some of the builders you have on, but Nostalgia does it right. Absolutely killed this build, great video, love the content. Forever a massive fan of you guys. Keep it up!!
That 64 Galaxie 700 hp. FE 427 with the 6 speed with 1-4 dog ringed so you didn’t even need the clutch. Man!Nothing sounds like a 700hp 7000+rpm FE 427 High Riser.
Bitchin' interior and it blew my mind when you revealed it. Colors are perfect. Very slick sliding drawers hiding behind the tailgate and the weed stash spot is priceless. 😎😎
I love it man. Back in the day my best friend had one of these exact same Apache's, looked just like this too. We used to smoke tires at stop lights and it was like a full on smoke screen for anyone stuck behind us.
Ahhh yes 🙌, home sweet home!! That’s awesome! Great truck and glad to see you shooting some in Vegas! Please tell me you went by my old buddies Steve Darnell’s with Welder Up/Vegas Rat Rods and are gonna shoot some of his badass rides!!
Dude, never saw the "oh shit" face, never saw the "holy fuck" face, all I saw was "this fucking ride is awesome!" face! great video Shawn! keep up the great work!
THat interior is sweet! well done, classy look to it Those Lexus seats were a great pick! Not a fan of most aftermarket seats Would be hard for me not to paint it same colors and put some larger centerlines on it..but its badazz the way it is
DDDAAAMMMNNN!!! this truck is bad. Don’t get mad at me. I’m not into the rusty look, but I like this truck. This thing is bad and I am busting a laughing every time one of your guest halls ass you start busting up with this smile of happiness.😂😂😂😂 thank you for this video. Can’t wait for another one thank you your subscriber from Los Angeles, but watching your videos over here on the big island of Hawaii thank you.🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
its got to blow minds when its full show looking under the hood and from the door jambs in but people don't realize to make a truck look like its this ratty is as difficult to do as a show paint with 2mm panel gap every panel upside underside up its ass. what an outstanding build. a epic drivetrain blown laid out but to me the full clean up and bead rolled brown panel and underside are my favorite. its just so badass. Question. when you lay a truck out are there some kind of blocks that where the panels are spot welded so it doesnt chip or bend that area. i see trucks that hit the pavement and lay those panel joint seams on the asphalt 100's of times. is there a polymer block you use or something to keep it from damage. what a killer truck!!! brilliant concept with the full finished everything when you open anything on it. just great work and consistent front to rear which is what i think is missed so many times not you guys!! cheers
@@AutotopiaLAI have one, stranger request though. How about crediting the music? Or maybe even consider making a playlist of the music in your videos. Just a request. Other than that, awesome channel in every way! And thanks so much for the experiences given!
Excellent video as usual guys. But please, please, please quit with the irritating jump-cuts to irrelevant film clips. Hoonigan gone this way - now unwatchable with 10/12 for a 15min video. Keep the original content coming.
Seriously I would like to know the cost of having this built if I walked in his shop. I LOVE THAT TRUCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Im close enough to go see him
