This reminded me of a dream i had where Dantdm was reacting to a Federal signal 3t22 and blood spew out of the horns when it turned on. Yes this was an actual dream i had and it scared me for 2 days
Even when the chopper is working this thing is pretty underwhelming. I haven't been in several years but it was not as loud as I was expecting it to be.
@2tjanthony a siren producing 125 db at 100 feet away also produces 70 db 1 mile away. The Goff Public Library is 1 mile away from the high school field house, and since Thuderbolts with 5M blowers produce 129-130 db at 100 feet away, then that 1003 siren is about 80 db from the Goff Library.
There should be a older one at the High School here in Beebe that saw the big Jan 1999 tornado hours after a major school event broke up for the night due to pending bad weather that night. It was restored some years ago and I can hear it and know it's sound among the other sirens here which are newer and not as good. Ive been here long enough to have met a few tornados first hand and so far so good must have a horseshoe somewhere. Life tends to be pretty slow here most of the time. When I hear them its usually noon wed give or take. Whats probably a strange thought to some is that we are all in the Hands of God. When Tornados walk the earth I keep a eye out but do nothing special anymore. Ive been into many of them over the years as a long haul trucker. Some were pretty scary on the most basic human level. I dont like the monsters that scare me a little bit.
If the motor keeps acting up the city should replace it and put this siren as part of a historical museum for Civil Defense Texas has one Beebe should make one two
It's still there. As far as I know Beebe hasn't done much about it. Im sure the chopper is probably cooked as a year or two ago they ran it for 45 minutes straight.
@@NaturalStateSirens glad to hear! i wonder if theyll actually fix it then ?!.. quite possibly, they need to get it rewound/general rebuild. or maybe WSS Could help with a chopper swap out ? 🤔
