In 2024 we held our second annual Loud Poets Slam Series, a nation-wide tournament across Scotland featuring regional heats in St. Andrews, Edinburgh, Paisley, Dumfries, Aberdeen, and Inverness. The winners and runners-up from each heat qualified for compete at our Grand Slam Final at the Edinburgh International Book Festival! The Final took place on 10th August 2024 to a sold-out audience and was an incredibly high-calibre competition.
The slam was hosted by Kevin Mclean and featured our 2023 Champion RJ Hunter as the Sacrificial Poet. Our judges were RJ Hunter, Emma Collins, and Katie Ailes.
