Whoever are the 3 lugheads who put a 'thumbs down' are, you all have no clue of what sheer beauty and breathtaking scenery this footage is. This is glorious! Love it all the way!!! I so want to go to Ireland, and when I do, outside Dublin this will be one of my stops for sure :)

Those 3 need to be bashed in the head with a shillelagh, just like Butch used to try to do to poor, yet always lucky, Droopy Poodle! First time I ever heard that word 'shillelagh'. Love it especially because I have Irish roots (and English-Scots too).

Go to Lough Dan it's more accessible and equally beautiful unfortunately it's private land as well

Amazing video, well done. Reminds me of a time many years ago when I cycled that road above the lake in heavy low cloud and could hear people laughing and splashing below me, couldn't see any trace of the lake, wouldn't have known it was there only for my map! Thanks for sharing.

Nonsense. I have it on good authority, The History Channel no less, that this is in fact the earldom of the Viking Ragnar Lothbrook ;) Always thought it appropriate that a lake owned by the Guinness family is actually the colour of Guinness ;)

Well it's possible to rent the house you can see in the video (at 2m15s) for a mere €20,000 per week. You would have private use of the lake and grounds for that fee however! :-) Not sure on rentals.... perhaps contact the guys at www.forkinestates.ie/
