If you got offended by a word used in a completely harmless context, that's a YOU problem, and that's something a visit to a therapist helps with, or some self reflection. If someone comes up to you and calls you the n word with a hard R or even a soft A, punch him in the face multiple times, you won't be prosecuted for it.

I disagree with the analysis of “The N word.” A white lady on the news doesn’t go, “Look at all these N words showing up to vote!” That would be wrong. She says “Somebody got fired because he said the n word.” She’s just trying to tell you about something that happened, but she can’t say Voldemort, so she has to say n word. It’s like if you weren’t allowed to say murder, so you said “the m word” and then Louis ck said you were just as bad as a murderer if you said “the m word.”
