It's NOT the fault of the locals that the small businesses closed. West Virginia is the LOWEST wage state in the country and as a result NO ONE HAS DISPOSABLE INCOME. The reason Europe is filled with small businesses is that OTHER ADVNCED COUNTRIES BELIEVE IN LIVABLE WAGES -- when people have livable wages and disposable income, they WILL spend it at small mom and pop stores. It's easy to say that people do not "give a shit" about small business when you're a GD multimillionaire. Regardless, I will NEVER do retail EVER AGAIN.

I despise Wal-Mart and would never work retail again even if homeless. In fact, I have already started researching all-weather sleeping bags and have started mapping cemeteries (great places to sleep at night) and homeless shelters because I will NEVER work retail again, and I am too exhausted from working crap jobs while earning my first two degrees to ever go back to school. I have worked harder and longer than any person I know (three jobs while working on my first degree, two while working on my second, and I was suspended due to a vendetta while working on my third and not given back a dime of the $8,000 I borrowed to work towards that degree). I even worked FIVE jobs at one time -- substitute, library clerk, summer reading program instructor, Sylvan tutor, and high school tutor and I STILL did not make over $30,000 per year in my state (the lowest average wage state in the country). The United States is broken to the point where it can never be fixed, and EVERYONE should quit their jobs in protest.
