He is the king of “anti-humor”. It’s something I learned when reading Wiki’s page on Pootie Tang. Once I read about anti/alt comedy, it’s impossible to listen to Louie without hearing him tell a very cliche joke, but using a completely unobvious punchline (ex. Give them a grain of food and let them eat for 20 years, or teach them to eat dirt…)
It’s like Opie just sits there while everyone else is being hilarious and gets upset that he’s not contributing or when he does it’s not funny, so he just plays weird sounds or stupid music passive aggressively.

He has his place in the Hamptons, and instead of walking 100 yards to the bathroom, he goes into the ocean, up to the waist…. shits in the water… Then gets out…. He tells it multiple times to guests just walking in; and not a single person in the room will take his side, yet he just continues to argue it.

2:00 - When I moved to LA in 2000 and was finding my way around, I used to go to a pool hall/bar on Tampa and Roscoe that "Sticks" went to. He was a pool player, a good one, but people told me he was a drummer/actor guy on a show, maybe Happy Days (skinny black guy with a cabbie hat). I also struck out Todd Bridges in a city league baseball game, but that's another story.
Opie foreshadows his downfall with the Roland prostate bit. He’s insistent on doing something inappropriate with Roland while Roland is very apprehensive about it, turns out he did that same thing with filming him in the bathroom which got him fired.
Opie is terrible, but this show has some of the most legendary clips on the internet at this point. I want to listen to ALL recordings of Louis Ck's voice, same with Patrice Oneil (already have with Patrice years ago). Hell, I even like Jim Norton. Ant is WAY underrated, I really love listening to him talk as well. Hours and hours of wholesome entertainment from O&A.
The show is so good, Opie rightfully gets a lot of shit but Ive always thought he was good at feeding the guys meat to riff on, Opie is a normie so he was always unironically following lame pop culture giving the show good direction.

Opie had a shit fetish. Look how excited he got when louis produced his shit vials, "can I see it!?" as he leans over the console and grabs it. But anyway Opie's story was a lie. He said he had an upset stomach and implied he couldn't hold his shit, that would make it's consistency runny or liquidy, and not hard and round, which is what it would need to be to roll down his leg and over the sidewalk. You can also tell it was made up by how he stumbled through the story, saying err a lot and the fact the story had little depth to it. You would remember such a moment vividly, especially the peoples reactions which he told us nothing of. Remember the time he randomly asked any listener to bring in their baby's diaper so he could rub shit under his nose? He actually did it when Vos brought his in, unprompted, just out of the blue. Everyone was like "but why opie?". He would often start talking about shit too and question people thoroughly on their shit stories. He's a very damaged man.

In high school, I happened to be bored and in a food4less and came across an entire pig’s face in the meat department and some chicken feet and figured…hey why not? Let’s grab some giant whole fish…you know, since they were there. I then drove to where I knew a girl of whom my friends and I were rivals with and…decorated her car with those items, with the whole pig’s face being on the windshield looking in. Years later I found out that when she got in her car, it was very early in the morning so she didn’t notice any of it until she turned on her headlights and saw the pig face’s silhouette staring in at her. I’ve done some cool things in my life, but this may have been one of my proudest moments.
It's sad because their could have been this meta-thing where Ope plays a dope at all times but is secretly trolling the audience. Would have added a whole layer but he doesn't have the cleverness or self-awareness so nope.
Also worth mentioning that while Opie could take some harsh jokes, at times he became very sensitive. This led to him not being the butt of jokes at times, and later he felt like wasn’t part of the group because of this.
You'd have to listen to the show more to get it, he always would cut off bits or not really add anything to the jokes or conversation and would just be really cringe at times but the O&A fan base hates everyone but Patrice. P.s and he didn't get Anthony fired, he just didn't care that he was getting fired because they hated each other towards the end
