What does Violet offer Clem and AJ that they don’t already have? They know how to survive. They’ve had to be edgy and fight for their lives every single day. All they know is survival and death and suffering and betrayal, etc. You know what they don’t have? Life! Happiness! They don’t know how to feel alive! Louis knows how to take care of himself (he built and placed the traps protecting the school meaning he’s a fuckin genius, he’s always been capable of killing walkers, and he knows how to lead the kids in a compassionate way alongside Clem (episodes 3 to 4) also he’s just now learning how to use other weapons and learning how to kill people. With Clem and AJ as his teachers he’s gonna be the full package.). But Louis also knows how to live life and to enjoy every second he has left alive. He’s able to give Clem and AJ that happiness. They teach him how to survive, how to lead, and give him a family and he teaches them how to feel again, how to feel alive, to relax, to have fun, he gives them unconditional love and support, he makes them laugh and smile, etc. I love how it’s not just one party benefiting from the other partner but rather both. That’s how the most ideal and healthy relationships are supposed to be. Violet and Clem’s relationship on the other hand is unbalanced. Neither learn anything from the other lets be honest. In conclusion, CLEM AND LOUIS ARE SOULMATES.

Madame Fluffy Both Violet and Louis represent both sides of Clementines personality throughout the years, Louis being the larger then life positive attitude of Clem back when she was younger, and Violet’s can’t trust anyone, no bullshit attitude reflects Clem back in season 3. Another thing I have noticed too if you look at the two pathways of love interest. When Clem kisses Louis both character's eyes are closed when you choose that option. With going the Violet route, I don't know why but in all the "kiss" scenes with violet only clem's eyes are closed but Violet's eyes are wide open. It is weird and makes whatever "romantic" moment feel very awkward and unnatural. I didn't realize this until someone pointed it out on Tumbler. Why is Vi's eyes open in all the kiss scenes.

Some RU-vidrs, like Pewds, didn’t think that anyone deserved Clem so she stayed single in their play throughs. XD Personally, I like Louentine because I think that after so long of running and fearing caring about people, Clem definitely needed some fun and laughs in her life. ❤️

yup and you know why that is. Because both Louis and Clem accept each other's influence on one another. I watched this thing called Cinema Therapy where they talk and analyze different films and have deep discussions. One of them was ranking the Disney romances from worst to best and deciphering is it, real love, whether they are feeling or not. And one of the guys on there is a real licensed therapist and he threw out the term Accepting Influence. Accepting Influence: acknowledging that your partner has a valid point of view. You welcome it, are willing to be influenced, and even have your perspective be changed by it. Louis actually demastrates this principle in episode 2. When Aj shoots Marlon, which is Louis's best friend/brother, Louis gets angered and hurt, and who can blame him. Marlon was pretty much his brother. And there was a bit of not liking Clem and AJ at the beginning of episode 2 for good reason, but when Louis has some space to reflect on what AJ had done, he comes to see from Clem and AJ's point of view and is influenced by that, that he begins to change his perspective and tries to make up for what he did when he took part in voting Clem and AJ out of Ericson. Louis also proves this point again at the end of the game in the final episode, when AJ shoots Tenn. And I will quote words of what he says to AJ when you choose this dialogue, "You saw something I didn't, about the situation I mean. Of Minnie and Tenn. Clem told me you saved my life, well that is exactly what you did, and how can I stay mad at someone who did just that." He was influenced by Clem and had his perspective changed by it because of Clementine's influence. Clem influences Louis to tough up a bit and Louis influences her to be loose and it is okay to have fun and not be serious all the time. Plus Clem copies Louis's mannerisms and behavior a bit throughout the course of the game. Their relationship actually kind of mirrors Fix-it Felix and Calhoun's relationship in Disney's Wreck-it Ralph.

The choices were poorly designed discouraging players from taking the romance path imo. I didn't romance him and regretted only later after finding out you have finite options to do so. Think about it: Would you rather check the animal traps for food with Aasim or hit an upside down walker for fun with Louis? Would you check on the defenses a night before a raider attack with Violet or would you tune a piano with Louis? Having focused on survival for 3 seasons till this point and having seen just how quickly things go bad, I don't blame myself or other players for not ending up romantically with Louis simply because outside of these instances, you don't get the option of confessing your feelings to him. Telltale designed it poorly. Which is why I held out hope till the end that maybe in the epilogue I would get the option of confessing to him but didn't. In my story Louis didn't get shot, abducted or his tongue chopped off. I hugged and encouraged him every chance I got because I really liked him. I even replayed the 3rd chapter after knowing that he would die if I didn't let AJ make the hard calls. Louis is perfect for Clem and they should end up with each other. The story design was dogshit giving you that 13%
