Louis meets Lestat for the first time | Interview With the Vampire 1x01 

The scene is so much funnier knowing that Lestat could read his mind. He knew that he was offending Louis and just kept turning that knife as foreplay like only Lestat would do 😂

The way Lestat is literally not blinking when he’s looking at Louis.

"Your name is Louis. Of course it's Louis." "I had planned to make a new life for myself in St. Louis. That was to be my destiny. Now I know I was right. Only it turns out the saint wasn't a city but a handsome man." Coming at this man with FIRE. He made his intentions clear right out of the gate.

“Your name is Louis. Of course, it’s Louis.” I’m still shook by how strong Lestat came at Louis, straight out the gate.

Sam Reid is incredible as Lestat. Charming, seductive, obsessed, sadist, a perfect Toreador.

I loved Miss Lily, she was such a kind soul. Lestat shouldn't have killed her 😔😔😔

I love when Lestat is making sure the musicians are taken care of by saying, “ Oh, and another round for the musicians whatever they want. They are always forgotten.” This series made sure we knew that Lestat is a musician and a lover of music.

'And now I know I was right' whewww the way he delivers this line, you'd think they're on date number 5 already this man has no restraint

The ring was SUCH a mic drop, like I’m humiliated and aroused at the same time.

Just rewatched this ep because of this clip and so much foreshadowing of Lestat's temper and jealousy getting the best of him. He killed the two sweetest people in the show, Miss Lily and Father Matthias both because he was jealous that Louis turned to them instead of him.

2:11 “There was food….” “What’s been your favorite Mr. Lioncourte?” He never answered the question about food (human food) and instead talks about the different shades of women that he’s “sampled” (likely eaten). They were “the favorite food.” Great dialogue.

Reid is just amazing as Lestat even better than Cruise

Jacob’s acting immobilized was fantastic, it’s almost like you can’t breathe yourself when caught under Lestat’s spell. Gotta respect how unabashed Lestat was in making his intentions clear & miss Lily was right. Louis is his destiny.

When I first watched this scene, from 2:50-3:16 I felt like I had stopped breathing, I was so mesmerized by Sam Reid 🫠 I actually jumped a little when he said, "Lestat, unpack your trunks! You're home!" 😅🤣

“Only the impossible can do the impossible”. Something Nicholas said to Lestat on their first meeting. Love it!

I ❤this scene. Lestat was stalking Louis, found out where Louis hung out, his favourite prostitute and made sure he would run into him. He was full blown obsessed and in love. Shame he killed miss Lily though.

OMG !! Loved the 1st meeting . Lestat has been watching Louis for how long? He knew Louis would visit Ms.Lily. That's why Lestat was with her. When he talks to Louis. it is like they were the only ones in the room, Lestat was looking at Louis like " I can't wait until we are together". Loustat😍

Wait, I just realized that the first thing we hear of Lestat in the show is a phrase that Nicolas said when they met, "only the impossible can do the impossible", IT MAKES ME CRY 😭

I don't know what awards Reid got for this performance, but he deserved more. The acting on this show was an outright force of nature!

The directing, writing, and acting of this scene was incredible!! I literally had to pause it just to admire the amount of creativity and skill that went into this. Absolutely wonderfully done, this was a fantastically written first episode

I hope the writers of this show get appreciated with some awards. So witty, clever, suddle, and campy when needed. I can only applaud.

And Lestat did the same thing to him at the dinner table, and insulted him and he couldn't look away from Lestat who was angry and insulted, but Louis brother he held onto the bible and his belief in God, to try and defeat that devil before him. Lestat said, and the woman, all shades of skin White Black Cinnamion Lestat has been feeding, and tasting all women, of various characteristics, different personalities, and colors. Traveling all over the world, seeking out the one, the one companion who he could feel that bond with, yet he is telling Louis too, color and race does not matter to me! I love this scene hearing Lestat speak French is so sexy! Lestat oozes sex appeal!

I really enjoy the show but I wish the bite scenes were more sensual like the movie was, more realism to draining. It would make it that more better and real.

Other than changing Louis' color just to get out the type conversations I knew they'd have with a darker skinned man during this time (yeah, I wasn't looking forward to something so predictable), I really enjoyed the over top drama! Lestat is such a diva, while the story of a man transformed into a monster, trying to keep hold of his humanity and compassion is spectacular!

How is louis okay with lestat kissing lily? Was he immobilized then too.

Louis has always annoyed me even when I first read IWTV in middle school (I am 37 now lol). This actor here who plays Louis makes him 1000x more annoying lol. Good job.

Damn bro, they just mangle these classic original stories and change every possible continuity, until is unrecognizable, lifeless, amalgamated reanimation of Anne Rices ACTUAL masterpiece. It's just disrespectful to the dead authors or writer's, who dedicated possibly hundreds of hours writing theses stories. Jesus Christ change the two main characters names, and change the title of the show to, the vampires servant or some shit, that would take away the only two things that relate this to interview with a vampire.

Superman does not need to be played by a super ripped actor, his strength comes from his alien physiology and not from his muscles, this is evident from his Superboy days and that scrawny cousin o f his Supergirl. So using this logic, lets say a movie studio casts a guy who weighs 400lbs to play Superman, and knowing fans will be pissed at this, the studio and the woke critics make the statment that anyone not happy with this casting is just a fat shaming bigot. Now I ask, do you the millions of pissed off fans are going to be pissed because they hate fat people, or are they pissed off because the character doesnt resemble the source material that they love?
