Moonboarding looks so cool. As a beginner, it is super impressive if you watch this video and then go to your climbing gym and check out how steep the moonboard actually is and how bad (for a beginner) the holds are.

I do enjoy watching Louis climb. His keenness and enjoyment are infectious. Thank you.

Having a cut out section at the bottom of the moon board is a pretty nice advantage for those shitty low starts, you have much more room than if the mat was flush to the wall. Wish my gym had that!

To be honest, I don't feel even worth enough of touching a wall after seeing this flawless performance of Louis in the first half of the video. I mean when he starts to cling it looks like his body weighs as much as a feather. His body control is stunning. The video itself was great. I am probably the 8567th person to comment this but maybe you should look for a new mic

That last problem has got to be somewhere around 7c+ or maybe 8a I would say. Haven't tried it (don't have a moonboard at my gym), but it looks hella hard.

Everyone's talking about the click bait title but if you actually know anything about the moonboard you would've understood the title meant that it was Alex Megos' moonboard problems. Easy misconception I guess, but a more clear title certainly would have been a mouthful. "Louis VS Moonboard problems set by Alex Megos" doesn't have a nice ring to it lol

Im definitely not envious of Louis in any other way...but my god would i love to feel what its like to have that natural bodyweight strength for a day

I hate this layout so much.

I've climbed for over 25 years and never yet been into a climbing wall, never even set foot in one yet alone pulled on them. My issue is that it looks truly boring as hell, a bit like weight lifting at the gym, which I find mind numbingly boring and what I have likened it to in my head therefor dismissed it as a goer for me. However there is no getting away from the fact that it does seem to appeal to many young folk. Now I'm just figuring that there are many young folk who have never bothered to get out onto actual rock and had they started on rock and in the natural environment then they too would probably find this climbing indoors surrounded by hoards of other people mind numbingly boring as well. I also figure that todays kids probably have their buzz-ometers set far lower than we had back in the day. So what say you, is this the case? Can rock climbers go through their rock climbing life without ever spending time at crags these days. I can see how it morphed into a winter or bad weather option, but today ti certainly seems there are many younger climbers that ONLY climb inside no matter what the weather. Infact I reckon many very good gym climbers could come unstuck and be completely out of their depth in the hills or even at a crag, it does seem completely alien with regards to real rock climbing, hold being marked out, no real fall consequence etc.
