I had my Artsy bag for 2 years. I absolutely love it but I do have some issues with quality as well. First I do have some minor crackling in two of the corners and I had to get my interior lining replaced. The lining pretty much became thread bare. I don’t put sharp objects in my bag. I use a purse organizer to keep the lining clean, and I am very particular about putting my purse down on tables or my ottoman when I’m not carrying it. So I do agree the quality could be better. I do think it’s worth the $2500. I have the newer version with the vechetta . I think it’s a beautiful bag . I did pay to get the lining replaced they didn’t think it was a quality issue. They did a phenomenal job with the repair and the material of the new lining feels a little thicker too.
I love my Artsy! I bought my first one new in Oct 2021 so I have the new version. I'm a vachetta lover so adding the vachetta trim on top is a nice addition and it elevated the look of the bag for me. I just love it! Currently LV only sells only 1 size and it's the MM size. The bag is a large bag so I barely use it, but it's a keeper for me! It's such a classic! Thank you for review!
@Miranda Right wow! I love the vachetta on the top of the Arsty! Lol. Imo (and literally it is ONLY my opinion hahaha) it actually enhances the bag! I guess I'm alone on this one. 😆
Thank you for sharing this video. I purchased the Artsy MM IN 2017. I hardly ever carry it and I’m having problems with the monogram lettering wearing off on the sides. I contacted Louis Vuitton and they mentioned it was from normal wear and tear. How can that be if I barely carry it. I paid $1960 for it and it’s not worth the price and they don’t stand by their product. I plan to not ever purchased another LV. It was my 1st purchase of an LV and it was a horrible experience. I have other name brand purses in my handbag collection that I’ve own for over 12 years and the monogram have no type of wear. It’s definitely a defect that they won’t own up to which is why I can’t invest in their product. So sad they would rather loss a customer instead of making it right.
I think bags from bank then were better quality and time ones made in US are mass produced so the quality has gone down the drain. Sad, as LV was my favourite.
Hun I checked it out today. The new one with vaccheta on top n honestly, I don’t know, it just felt cheap. I think the canvas was too soft and it felt plain . I don’t know except for size I really did not like it
I’ve had this bag since like 2015/2016 - bought pre owned from Fashionphile. I was obsessed with it . Anyway, I’ve kept mine in amazing condition. The exterior is near perfect Only the handles are a deep patina (which is normal) and very minor cracking along the top. The interior however there are a lot of holes/tears. No stains or marks , just i put a lot of items in my bags, so I guess the weight caused the ripping . I cannot handle wearing it right now with all the tears , it’s way too big and awkward, but I can’t sell it . I need to get the tears fixed Outside tho, bag is in great condition 😊
I’m sorry because I must disagree with your statement that the artsy isn’t worth two thousand dollars because it’s going to have defect issues. I have the artsy in the GM and it was bought in 2011. And I have no cracking and no corner wear So I think what is fair to say. I’m not sure when Louis Vuitton quality issue started because I stop shopping the brand after 2011 and didn’t pick it back up until 2020. And even when I did I bought leather out side of the agenda and Elizabeth pencil case that’s canvas and leather. But all artsy are not prone to diffracts.
Your opinion. I’ve owned 2 but wouldn’t pay 2k for one. 2k in my world is reserved for rare and coveted pieces. The artsy is pretty basic in design and legacy for 2k in my opinion.
@@tanyapollar3931 isn’t that why they have the vaccheta on top, to avoid the canvas from cracking. I really think the old style was so much better. The new one is hard to get used to for myself that is.
Watching this in July 2023 and I always say the same about price justification. If the bag is expensive but mostly canvas ,nah.. I’ll pass no matter how hot of an item it is. Example : Pochette Metis East West or On The Go PM . Canvas should not cost high price . Had the Artsy in Azure and sold it back in 2012 to 2014.. I forget the exact year. Beautiful bag but the handle is too thick and painful on my shoulder .
