I completely agree with you, I'm paying so much money for this stuff, I want it to be BRAND NEW, not previously played with! That's just common sense, LV! :(

Omg I totally agree with you! Louis Vuitton should definitely have 1 display item for all their products and the rest untouched for purchase. We pay so much for their goods it should be standard for high end stores like this. I had similar issue with the zipper on the Emilie wallet it was so stiff I couldn't even open it so I didn't bother to buy it as it was the only one they had in store.
you should just order online if it bothers you that people touched it...i happen to agree with you for 800 dollars that wallet better be completely new and untouched in perfect condition

The more I watch you... The more I like you! You are a perfectionist, same as myself... I have the Sarah wallet in Multicolor, don't regret the purchase but in reality it's just a wallet! :( I switched out from a Juicy Couture zippy type wallet and that was under $100! Although the zippy Rose Angelique in Vernis is breathtaking and calling my name lol I think I wouldn't splurge on another LV wallet...ttyl :)

Great review. Very thorough and informative. That is so strange about how things work in the LV store. I would assume they would grab an unboxed item from the back once you have made your decision.
This wallet was just recently discontinued so whoever wants this....go call the LV hotline because there's only a couple more left in the U.S. My mom got me one recently and she just shipped it to me and I can't wait!
Great review, I have very high demands at LV products as well. I just start with LV, and I was really suprised when the lady in the store took the bag she showed me to wrap it for me. I am just thinking about a larger wallet because I just have got the zippy coin purse and I am looking forward to your next review of this wallet. (sorry for my english)
I appreciate your honesty and candor when describing the wallet and the LV experience. I've been eyeing this wallet but the price increases make me cringe. As you mentioned, it's just a wallet. I'm not one to baby my wallets. I ended up buying a Kate Spade wallet on an online sale. It'll work...for now. If you still have your LV zippy compact, would you please do another updated review? It looks like it's been a little more than a year. Thank you!
Hi agnes z, I just watch your video and also read what other people wrote you. I like the review very clear and knowledgeable. But I am kinda agree with Amihan Ruan. Not only because of the LV store in Paris, I've purchase from many different country (Europe Asia and USA) I am sorry I never purchase in Canada before.. Anyway, they all show the customer display models and when you decided to buy and they will go to the stock and get a new one and let you check before they pack it. If the customer is not happy where it made (ex if it's not made in France) they will even go check the stock for you. So, it's very strange the LV store you went. However, I think you should just write them an email and tell them you were not complete satisfy for your experience for shop with them. And still thank you for sharing the video.
Hi HFliegen! Thanks for the comment. You know, the location on Bloor St. in Toronto has a totally different approach. They took one from the back and i did not have a problem at all. Maybe its the Yorkdale location that does this or perhaps i was dealing with an sa that had no clue in customer service an how things should be done. Anyway, i'm not giving up on LV just because of a bad experience. Thank you!!
Nice review, I agree if you have to pay over $800 for a wallet...they should be giving you an untouched one from out back. By any chance would you be willing to sell your kate spade lacey wallet?

Thank you for your comments. i never thought of selling my KS wallet. i wouldn't even know what to sell it for. it has been used for few years but for now i think i will keep it as it gives me an option to switch to a larger one if i need to. I will keep you in mind just in case for the future. Where about are you located?
Great honest review... I hear you on the zippers, I bought this exact wallet myself just recently, it had little to no glazing on those edges at all, really dry, and the zipper once fully opened when zipping it up, it would catch at the first corner, just slightly, say 1/4 times that I open it. I think it's due to the closeness of the zipper to the inner coin purse. So i spoke with a mail order SA manager who sent me a replacement... argh it was worse, he said ALL zippers on all 5 in stock were like this, it was "normal" due to the design of the wallet...and also this replacement had the end of the fabric of the zipper hanging out quite a bit, really untidy... so sent that back and he sent me yet another, this one has substantial glazing which was good but there is still that minor catch at that same point, Im just hoping it relaxes out.. I feel that I settled but I do love this design of the wallet. In regards to the glazing (wax) that you mentioned he told me it varies from the thickness of the canvas and it is normal for this wallet to have less. My edge glazing looks about the thickness of a fine layer of nail polish if that makes sense. xx
Jac1 Mac1 Wow what a terrible experience! I checked mine and I have no issues with the zipper catching on anything at all. I didn't do an update video but i took my wallet to the lv store regarding the glazing and they had it sent out and fixed. she was very surprised that there was no glazing on it. Check photos on my Instagram if you are interested. I posted before and after pics. I must tell you, if you are not happy don't settle for anything. Instead of mailing it just go to a store and deal with them directly. Hopefully you can find one without any issues. Good luck and thanks for watching! cheers!
Fiona, I am honest in my reviews. If i'm not happy about something i will not sugar coat it just for a review. I love lv brand in general but as any and every other company there is room for improvement. Cheers!

Hi Reesh, the wallet has been send for reglazing to louis vuitton. As i said in the video there was no wax on it so they had to redo it.
