That’s exactly how I felt. Slightly underwhelmed because I am so used to seeing the monogram, but I love it so much. I wear it for any occasion and don’t feel flashy. This bag can easily be dressed up also, as opposed to monogram. Enjoy it!

I had that reaction when I saw it for the first time in person...underwhelmed. So I opted for canvas. But I really appreciate the understated elegance. And it definitely does feel more luxurious! TFS! ❤️❤️❤️

Hey Yvie!! I always said that if I were to buy the Pochette Metis, it would be in empreinte leather! It absolutely takes the bag to another level. As you said, it’s the ‘grown up version’ of the monogram canvas. I really like that you can dress up/down the bag as you want and there’s the versatility of swapping out bag straps. I know what you mean by the print is understated. I saw a raisin colored empreinte Artsy at a high school football game and thought it was the most beautiful bag I had ever seen. I rained my neck to see who the designer was and was surprised when I got close enough to see the LV pattern. I seriously saved and scraped enough to buy one in the blue color. I call it my gateway drug since it gave me the LV addiction.

Hi, darling! Your Pochette Metis is gorgeous, so classic in black. I saw other colors like pink, red and blue, ... they are so beautiful too. I am currently more a lv canvas girl, I think I am just not fed up with it😂. But of course natural leather is natural leather, maybe one day I grow up to this stage in lv. I’m a big monogram lover still, just love what an empreinte piece brings to my collection. But I wouldn’t add more than one black empreinte piece, yet Id happily add more monogram, if that makes sense 🤦🏻‍♀️. Thanks for watching mama 🥰

Totally get what your saying about making monogram canvas into a leather , that’s a great idea GIRLLLL !! I think it’s very sleek looking in the leather , I love the black and surprisingly loved the marine rouge color as well . Enjoy that beauty ,maybe 1 said I will give empriente a try , I almost wish I had gotten the Melie in empriente because of what happened to my canvas Melie.

Oh no! What happened to it?? I have serious mad love for empreinte, don’t get me wrong, I love monogram, but adding empreinte add a little something to your collection and honestly it’s priced well in comparison to monogram. Thanks for watching Lisa 🥰

melikeetoo yes I agree it is definitely priced well ! My melie started to have cracking on the sides where it folds , so I was allowed to exchange it for anything else of equal or greater value and I chose the speedy b 30 in monogram along with some other things at the time to make up the difference , I really loved that bag so I was sad to let it go and I miss it everyday , I have to find another suitable hobo 1 day , I also worried about the embossing on the melie in empriente , a friend said hers because non exsistent in the areas that rubbed under her arm , so maybe empriente in that style wouldn’t have been good for me , who knows ! I may try out empriente 1 day , I tend to gravitate towards canvas over leather , it’s just my preference most of the time ! Xoxo

Awe, I didn’t mean it’s for people to grow into it, just like monogram itself grew up. I still love monogram. Funny enough I wouldn’t add another black empreinte piece into my collection. I think i will be selling line. I love it BUT now that i work from home i need something more casual. This doesnt feel casual or dressy to me. It looks like a serious work bag so i dont like that i have it but use it maybe twice a year.

I sold mind as well, but I’d be lying if I didn’t say I missed it, I used mine a lot as a stay at home mom, it fit diapers and wipes and a change of clothing and snacks and a few of my essentials. When my daughter grew out of diapers, I didn’t feel I needed it though. A change in lifestyle definitely changes our handbag needs, which bag are you considering buying instead?

Awesome review. Can you elaborate on what the embossing should look like? I'm going crazy trying to figure out if my bag is good or not. Is it normal to have a lower level of pebbled structure inside the LV and Fleur de Lis? Or is it supposed to be completely flat? Like no grains at all? I didn't get to inspect it store as it came online. Pleaseeeee advise.

Honestly, I had heard that was an issue, so I kept the sticker on my hardware for a very long time, to avoid any potential scratches. I would say though, try to enjoy your bag, things are meant to to be used and enjoyed. I’d the hardware looks too terrible before the year is up, take it to LV and request the hardware be replaced.
