The Saffiano leather works so well on the Prada Re-Edition. I love that it can be worn casually during the day but once you remove the fabric strap the bag looks so dressy and elevated, perfect for a night out! Definitely on my wishlist now, thank you :)
The Prada looks so much nicer/ more elegant! It would be super easy to go from day to night and look very chic and classy with the slim bag and gold chain. I don’t think people give it enough hype I like the multi-pochette for having the extra bag because I love to compartmentalize but I hate how they only offer it in the monogram. The new multi pochette just doesn’t do it for me since they changed the shape. I also like that, worst case scenario I could use the individual pieces for catch-all/organizers/toiletries in my larger bags
I love the Prada reedition. Bought the guy version in nylon so it’s a bit bigger and lighter. bought a small chain to copy the girl version. I think it’s a good every day bag too. 😂

The Prada is more timeless to me. It's very interesting watching trends resurface. Prada has been one of my fave handbag designers for a long time and no one seemed to be into the brand even 2 or so years ago and now it's an "IT" brand again, which is kind of annoying when people only like things because influencers say it's cool again(not directed at Alyssa, just in general). Anyways, I never liked the multi pochette because it looks like they glued one bag on top of another LOL. the black and gold on the Prada combined with the saffiano leather texture is gorgeous and way more timeless in my opinion.
Definitely agree, I think Raf Simons getting on board with Prada is going to help with the resurgence even more, but it is always fascinating to see brands have their moment and how social media affects it. I'll admit, for a long time there wasn't a Prada bag that really grabbed my attention. And can see what you mean by the MPA looking glued together too haha.
I think I actually like the Prada one more because it's leather :) Happy to be this early! And I love that chain sound when scratching on the leather lol
I love the re-edition because it looks way more luxurious and I’m also a gold hardware girl and the silver hardware on the canvas version just put me off! Still love the LV but soooo many people own it 😅 thanks for sharing 💜💜
The Prada ones, whether tessuto or saffiano, are less maintenance than the LV one because they have no choice untreated leather pierces whereas the LV bag can discolour or patina where the vachetta is present.
I agree I have it and it fits everything I need in it and like you said you can style it differently. I love my LV,, I think it is a lot more modern than that prada bag, but that's just my opinion 😊👜💝

@@nicole46880 I don’t think it will go out of style and even if it does, you can use each component of the LV separately and with the other LV bags. It is actually a genius idea which the Prada Re-edition just copied.
literally the exact same thing I thought. Huge bonus of Louis Vuitton in general is its resell value it holds exceptionally well even if the designs nothing special. The power of branding.
I used to work for LV and I cringe when I see someone trying to stuff a big wallet and everything else into a little bag until it’s bulges 😱...😂 Card holders for the little bags please! Btw, the Prada is so much prettier 😍
I have all three (Lv, Prada nylon and leather nylon) and TO ME the LV wins hands down. More space, very vintage looking, more versatile, and the patina ages like fine wine! But I have all three so I didn’t have to choose. But if I only could get one it would be LV.

This comparison was super helpful! I LOVE the prada re-edition in Saffiano. I think eventually I want to get both, but timing I would get the LV multi pouchette first (knowing I would eventually get both)
In the began I would buy the LV multi pochette.. but is very hard to find them but if I want to overprice I can got them.. but since I saw the re edition from Prada I feel that one it’s much more my stile and I’ll buy it soon Thanks for video 🥰

Thank you for the comparison - I purchased the LV on first drop (b4 price hike) for a multi functional bag. I LOVE Prada but disappointed with the saffiano leather - I purchased an orange Prada saffiano tote and the corners & handles worn immediately - just awful so sitting in my closet. I have an all leather Prada mini bag which wears much better than the saffiano.
The Prada Re-edition in Saffiano is absolutely stunning! Although I’m a bit torn between her and the LV New Wave Multi-Pochette (also in black w gold hardware) 😅 Any thoughts on the latter pls? First luxury purchase so any help is much appreciated!

I've got my eyes on the LV multipochette for 2 months now without even knowing it was trending lolll, but that Prada re-edition is so classy and goes with much more ! Yes I’ve been waiting for this! Although I already know I prefer the Prada re-edition. Still appreciate the lv just prefer the simplicity of the Prada, and how it’s understated. The lv is as she said an “accessory” to her outfits. I love your videos!
Don’t really agree on which can last for years, I think the LV one can last longer as the monogram has been around for years and Prada is known to be very trendy. Additionally, LV resale value is better than Prada. I will go with the LV as I don’t like the palm spring bag and to me this is the one LV piece that I see myself keeping. If you know that this is a trendy piece, all the more you should get something that has a higher resale value. If you get the LV bcos it’s in multi pieces, after the hype you can still take them apart and use them separately. But sadly you can’t do that with the Prada one. So I’m still getting the LV. Thanks anyway for showing the comparison.

Hey Alyssa listened to you and got the prada one cause firstly it’s leather and not canvas and the pricing on it is much better and also as someone who is plus sized and with bigger hips it sits better on my than the LV will.
I don’t think there’s much in it, it just comes down to personal taste. Functionally they’re the same it seems, so like Alyssa said, do you want a black bag or a brown bag?? I’ve got the multi pochette but I have my eye on a re edition too. I like choices ☺️
Personally I like the LV one. Just not a big fan of Prada. I used to not like LV monogram but I think on small items / small handbags it actually looks cute, especially on this pochette. I prefer the brown color of the monogram than the pure black of Prada as it seems more boring
Love this review but ended up with the LV. The Prada chain was weirdly grabbing hair and not in a good way. Although the LV is more expensive I feel like it will be worth the money in the end. It's versatile and can be used multiple ways vs just one from the Prada.
I definitely feel the Prada one seems more timeless/classic; however, the LV multi pochette that comes in black Empriente leather also looks quite lovely. Only drawback is it doesn’t come with an extra zippy pocket, but the decorative chain it comes with is nice. I do wish the LV multi pochette came in the Damier Ebene leather with a dark brown/black strap. Not a fan of the khaki coloured LV one, and the fact the Prada strap is black (plus you can flip it to the plain side or logo-ed side) is another tick for the Prada imo.
I just saw the prada re-edition in yellow saffiano and it really spoke to me. Do you still wear yours? You reackon you can still wear this bag in 5-10 years or is it a trend that will be over soon? Thankful for input!

I think the Prada reinvented is more comparable to the LV Wave Multi Pochette. I would choose LV over Prada, I have the LV and it is just so versatile and have more variations on how you can wear it, i.e., wearing it all together or as separate pieces and using different straps

If you stalk the site for a few days/call and inquire about store inventory you can get one!! Not impossible, I thought the same thing but managed to get one in 3 days :)
why too much stuffs in one small bag?!? in my case all of my smalls are def contain the ff: cards, ids, driver’s license all in one card holder, a phone, small travel size handsanitizer and tissues, a lipstick, lipbalm and small pack of gums... she should use a big bag for a bigger space
