I just posted this a month ago. Finally got around to reviewing it. Not bad, but I though it was very average. For a flagship beer, kind of a letdown. But great review. You guys rock!! Cheers, PROST, and Enjoy!
I like your analysis of these beers. It's good to have once in awhile but not every day. I do enjoy this IPA from time to time but again not every day thing for me. Good video gentlemen 👍🏾😁🍺
There’s a Laurel & Hardy short where Ollie has gout and a doctor visits him and tells Ollie, “You’ve been doing too much high living!” Anyway, I think younger David was doing too much high living with those big-calorie American craft beers, haha. Now present David is in the mode of: Drink moderate-calorie beers, kids! 👉
David’s looking great man. Glad he has the iron constitution to better his health. Jay I’m surprised you haven’t blown up like a balloon from all the craft beer you have to try for our entertainment.
I hadn't had this since they changed from Galaxy hops and wow I love it even more now, very bitter and dank without the syrupiness. I recall the Galaxy version to have been juicier and a little more typically thick and hazy, this version is amazing. If I could find 12 packs I would buy this all day but it's around $12 a six of bottles in SWMO and it's the only Elysian they sell here anymore. Every bitter beer doesn't need balanced with sugary maltiness, that's part of the problem with craft beer being fattening, too much "balanced" maltiness and oats etc., heavy and unpleasant to consume. Not to mention the homogeneity of flavor.
You mentioned Dank Dust. I had that one once. It was disgusting. The more I drank, the more I wanted to puke. Weed inspired beer is not creative and it does not sell. If there was ever a flavor that didn't belong in beer, that was it. Beer gets skunked enough on it's own. No need to do it on purpose.
