As a Louisiana taxpayer... This where capitalism has gone wrong.. The POWERFUL Chicken, Cattle, Pork industries pay off politicians to make serving Nutria illegal.. despite the fact they are healthier more natural than mass factory farms.. We should allow small communities and districts of big cities to vote on and license restaurant chefs to cook it safely. Instead of millions of tax dollars going to hunters who just discard the Nutria millions of pounds of Nutria meat and fur. Hunters would do it for free if they could sell them to restaurants and sell their fur.. You simply make the industry a tax free industry, to regulate evasive species.. Same thing goes to the Burmese Python in Florida.. People could make money off the Skin, Fur, and meat but not if they have to pay taxes.. On the other hand killing a wild nutria which led it's wild life to the fullest and was only able to live for that long because of lack of a natural predator. And which is not able to spread in such numbers in places where it has its natural predators and those predators don't care at all for being cruel while they eat their nutrias (close cousin of nutria in Poland is also not a saint, those animals can bite off fish's flipper to keep them from running away nad they store fresh food this way. That's how harsh is natural environment for wild animals, I'm sorry. Kids, grow up please...

Corey the thing is we still don’t even know when the virus will really blow over. So investor confidence is still a really poor indicator. In my area they ended up extending the shelter in place to even longer bc there’s no sign of it getting better any time soon. As for the jobs still being there, you can’t say that about every job, or every source of income. Those whose income depends on things like property management are screwed with people starting to not pay rent. My fault for using right now as an example when the outcomes are still so unknown, but look at the other top gain days in the stock markets. The days the stock markets make as much of gains as recently have been before the Great Depression and in 2008. Both of which were not the best of times for anyone. There are so many other factors to look into for an economy’s well being. Obviously EVENTUALLY things will get better, but the real question is when and just how badly will things get before things start to turn around.

Back when the British were running the show, they had a huge problem with cobras and they were paying people for every dead cobra brought to them. It wasn’t long until people realized they could just breed them. When the British finally caught on, they put an end to it and those same people released all those cobras into the wild since they were now worthless making the problem 10 times worse
