Schools do. The problem is there are parents and politicians who demand we ignore the actual text in favor of our traditional excuses denying the rights of all citizens under the Constitution.

Yes, except Osama Bin Laden didn’t discover America, did he? There weren’t any Muslims in the US in fact, until we brought them here on good will. 1492 Cristobal Colon discovered America, sailing into the unknown when Muslims were still stoning people and covering women in bed sheets.
Not the same historical significance. I hope a good Quranic education is mandatory in countries where the Islamic moral code is fundamental to cultural and legal history, though.

How about separation from schools teaching our young children about gender identity and sexuality? This should be left to parents to teach their children and you are worried about them learning the Ten Commandments. Look where the country.
When the policy was to leave parents to teach kids about sexuality they didn't. It's a necessary part of a comprehensive education. If you want sheltered, ignorant children try a cult.
Ten commandments: Thou shall not kill. Same bible: "At midnight GOD struck every firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh, who sits on his throne, right down to the firstborn of the prisoner locked up in jail." Exodus 12:29-39 ...Do as I say, not as I do.

Quick reminder that there is no national standard for what is required to be submitted as data for either schools or police, meaning that ALL of the data is wrong. There's a reason that many of the "best educated" states are removing subjects from the curriculum, and it isn't fore-knowledge or prior learning.
This is unconsitutional without question. No displaying religious text like that. If you're going to argue historical signifigance then you better put all the historically significant texts of similar nature.

Hilarious all the comments that mention Islam or the Quran not knowing Islam and the Quran claim Moses (who wrote the Ten Commandments) to be a prophet of Allah.. the Ten Commandments isn’t exclusive to one religion.
Whether the ten commandments is exclusive to one religion or not is irrelevant because it's not part of every religion, therefore it has no place in a publicly funded classroom. If a privately funded religious education classroom wants to post it up then they have every right to do so. Posting the ten commandments places favor on certain religions over others. If someone wants to learn about the specifics of a given religion it is on that individual to seek out that education not on the state to thrust it upon them.
