@your mom I'm a guy, just so you know and it's when not if the company showcases their car to celebrate their heritage in an ad. That gives the family more fame and status as well as money and new cars. Happens all the time. If you wanna call someone a bitch find a female user. No offence.
Why would you sell something that made a million miles and is still going without problems? That’s like saying, I’m going to sell my dog after it grew up with me and has protected me numerous times.
Lamarr Blocker true asf 3 years ago 2017 my dad bought a 2016 Honda Odyssey with 8k miles now it at 64k miles it went to Washington state Oregon Arizona 3 time Las Vegas hopefully Oklahoma, Missouri and Texas next Edit: we're going with the odyssey to Arizona for 4th time then going to flagstaff az
@@michaelqu it’s a Nissan CVT. Of course it’s a heap of shit. That’s just a bad decision on your part. The Mercedes is a slightly better step in the right direction, but a Lexus would’ve served you better.
@@michaelqu Of Course man you bought a product under the GOSH guy putting in Renault parts of course Murano with that CVT was junk Nissan Removed GOSH and removed that CVT transmission garbage. You just bought the wrong Nissan product now a 370 Z or the Nissan Titan or Frontier yeah no sir you just the wrong one.
Range rovers are luxurious pieces of junk. You better have lots of cash if you plan on owing one, the parts & cost of replacement are astronomical, & they have a lot of problems.
Very impressive. That CRV was driven on average about 83,333 miles a year, 228 miles per day EVERY day. It spent all its time on the highway. With proper care, obviously-- a very impressive feat. Leads me to believe that with the same amount of care, almost any car can could easily reach 200,000 without issue.
@@calebchan2005 And don't forget about Mazda too my Dads Mazda cx7 has almost 280k miles and he never had a problem with it and he bought it brand new from the dealer in 2012. He never Rebuild the transmission or engine. Bruh he never even changed his fuel pump or alternator or anything like that that's how you know they are really tough.
Secret to that longevity is all the highway miles. You don't ever hit the brakes, engine is kept at a steady low RPM cause you aren't mashing the gas at every red light. Main thing though is this car might have stupidly high miles, but relatively low number of heat cycles on the oil/coolant/transmission fluid, piston rings, cylinder bores, engine block, camshafts, rocker arms, transmission gears/bands, etc. AKA owner fires it up, its up to operating temp for 3-8 hours a day. Now if you do nothing but short trips, multiple times a day, it means the car doesn't fully heat up or the fluids go from cold to hot, back to cold to hot a few times a day, which is what really wears your vehicle out.
Hondas are crossing 1 Million Miles all over the place! ❤️...... I've seen one at the dealership I use to work at, little CRX.... original Motor and Transmission.... nowhere near the 1st one I've heard of though, but that's one I can personally testify to!
I LOVE my Civic and plan to run her to the ground. I celebrated when she made 100k. I plan to continue celebrating the next 100k and so forth. Super cool to see people out there celebrate their Honda’s loyalty also.
Yes keep it and keep up with the maintenance. Driving hondas for 30 years.. never in the shop. Turn the key and go. Had a 93 civic with 246k, sold it and it still ran like a clock. Recently a 2010 acura TSX with 181k, ran like a clock but a deer killed it lol.
@Polymer Tools that's exactly why I'd buy such a car. Hence the "probably been better looked after". I use 70k miles as a comparison as that's typically where suspension components begin to fail. Comparatively, if you were to buy a car with very high mileage, said suspension components will have been replaced multiple times (and likely be in better condition).
My mom’s 2008 Ford Focus has 320k miles, still going strong. A big factor is that she’s owned it since it was new, and it is quite stripped down (manual transmission, locks, windows) so there’s less to go wrong. Edit: 350k and yes it's the original engine
yea we had our nissan 98 brand new and we took good care of it but it blew the transmission and we had to switch the engine teice already very expensive car
I know what they mean about a car being family. My parents bought a 98 astro van brand new off the floor to drive my oldest sister around who was recovering from a bad car accident. She didnt survive. My parents kept the van and eventually my 2 sisters and I would learn to drive it in. The van fell into disrepair and in my early college years i taught myself to work on cars by slowly restoring it. It inspired me to get certified in automotive work which ive been doing for 3 years now. I still drive the astro.
That is why Honda and Toyota is the way to go. Not to many other brands are going to make it that long without major repairs I don't care how good you take care of them. My family all have Toyota and 2 of our cars have over 300000 on them right now.
For all of you wondering about the CRV ? It’s a K series Engine. The best engine Honda has ever built it can make stupid power and be incredibly reliable if kept stock
This one looks like an R20 engine to me. It's much more reliable than the K24Z (talking about Z series, not K24A!) - might not be that powerful (no vtec, only i-vtec) , but will last basically forever
Honda’s K series 4 cylinder is a legendary 4 cylinder engine that’ll do you wonders for maintenance. It also sounds amazing, if you Honda fans love the VTEC 🥰🥰
I love my 2008 Acura TSX that my brother handed me down. He didn't know what he was selling when I brought it lol. Neither did I, but later on I found out the engine in it is one of Hondas best built (k series). It's got almost 170k and I plan on doing some renovations on the driver's seat so it can last me another 100k. It's already 15 years old and I feel it could last me another 10. Love my car.
my 1994 Previa named Ziggy has almost 319k miles original engine, 2nd transmission (my fault), body is getting rust spots and holes but he keeps going like a top. been california to wisconsin and back twice, wisconsin to florida and back 5 times, 6 this august...such a great vehicle
My dad had a jeep with almost 400k miles on it. I believe it would have lasted longer if my sister took care of it🤦🏿♀️. He gave it to her when he bought a new one.
Now when i reach 16 k really want to start up my moms impala and make it reach 500k Its on 230k but the only things thats been replaced is the oil and AC
My 2000 Civic is still my daily driver in great ‘original’ condition. Obviously had things replaced as they aged/rusted but the engine and transmission are still chugging along ❤️ A mechanic once told me never drive a car your parents drove…… good thing he’s not my mechanic tho 😂
We have two members of the Subaru High Mileage Club FB group; one is a 2001 Outback with just under 800,000 miles, and a European member with over one million kilometers (stopped at all nines, like the Honda owner.)
I have a 1998 Volvo V70 with the 2.3 turbo 5 cylinder and 325,000 miles. About 10k of those I've put on myself. Old Gryla runs really strong and I don't know if I'll ever sell her unless I hit half a million miles
A lot of German manufacturers do this thing called “planned obsolescence” they don’t care if there cats stay on the road for very long, they just wanna make money off you when something breaks and you gotta go get these crazy repair bills at their dealership.
@Matthew Aniston To each their own I'm pretty sure Skyline, NSX, Supra, Corvette's aren't that reliable and have hefty maintenance bills also. Most of the world will take reliability over performance and luxury anyway, hence Toyota being the no.1 manufacturer. BMW and Benz know what there market is thats why they are sill doing business to this day.
Older ones can last this long even longer probably. They have many older ones that did it from benz to bmw but anything I'll say after 2000-2005 ish yeah you'll be lucky it last 100,000 without completely breaking itself or your wallet 😂
I just sold my daughter's old car. It was 18 years old. She drove it back and forth to college and then some. I kept her oil changed and it was still running great when I sold it. She also kept an eye on the oil level. It had 175000 on it when I sold it. A little maintenance is all it takes.
@@bosewaverocks they are going to need a new engine and transmission might as well replace both given the high miles and you’ll already have the engine out
I hope to get my 335i to at least 200k. Sure it’s a lofty goal given it’s a BMW, but I’m determined to get it there with the original N55 motor and transmission. It’s at 128k and still runs and shifts well
ProTips: Change your engine and transmission oils and both filters every 3-5k kilometers or every six months. Transmissions are costlier than engines. Oil is cheaper. Change your cabin and engine air filters every year. Don't ignore any vibrations you hear/feel in the floor or via the steering wheel. Check your tire pressure every week. 2007 Honda CRV. with 999,999 miles on it. would be Considered Fair condition. Trade in Value maybe $1,200 MAX. Private Party might be able to get $2,000 maybe $2,500 MAX if lucky. Doubt it. People want Low Low Miles. like around under 100,000 miles. I sold My Ford Ranger back in 2018. was a 2004 it had 99,500 Miles I got $7,500 for it. When I original only Paid $8,200 on it when it only had 34,000 miles on it. Ran Perfect when I bought it, Ran Perfect when I sold it. Other then new Tires and a new Windshield (Rock thrown from truck) No problem with Engine or Transmission. Main reason I sold it, I have another Car 2002 Ford Escape. But Sold the Truck, cause I really didnt need 2 cars, was able to Lower My Car Insurance from $25 a month to $15 a Month (Geico) Plus I was hardly Driving the Truck anymore. So why let it just sit and sit not being used at all.
I’ve got my dream truck a 2004 Nissan frontier 3.3 v6 4door original.. Also my first truck a 88 Toyota pickup I love it I’ve got 2 more !! Love my Toyota’s
Had a family van, 2004 Nissan Quest babied by our family but also towed maximum capacity, moving and hauling u-haul trailers from northern to southern USA... Engine running very strong, transmission started to wear out due to towing, almost 400k miles, sadly let go in 2018 due to transmission starting to wear in.
Honda will buy it from you to break it down and do a thorough evaluation of all the driveline components and interior materials fir their iwn data abd future product planning. If I were honda, I'd trade you for a brand new CRV! Great job with that honda! I just bought my sister one, abd I drive a 2015 Honda Accord EX-L V6 Coupe fir the last 7.5 years! Excellently engineered machines!
I have had three Hondas - 2 x CRV and an Accord which all did 100k no problems. I now have a Nissan Qasqai (Rogue) and I doubt it will last to 100k, bad electrics.
I put a million miles on a 1993 Ford Taurus just driving it from Belleview Florida to Clearwater Beach Florida in under 2 years it did have two hundred thousand original miles so I put $800,000 on it
Some guy got 1.1 million miles on a 1987 Toyota Camry. The engine may honestly sound better than even my friends 2020 RAV-4. The Japanese do NOT joke around when it comes to reliability. My 2020 Civic K20C2 also gave me zero mechanical issues. Only "issue" I have is a few annoying interior rattles lol.
Tell me about the rattles! Ever sence I upgraded my speakers the interior rattles like no there’s no tomorrow! I fixed most of it by now but it’s still there … love everything about the car, just not the rattles
@@-nightraider-1169 It's funny. a lot of the Civic's I've had, the fit and finish is the most solid in the class just below VW Group, but the rattles are just so annoying (ESPECIALLY if your Civic has a sunroof like mine does lol).
@@cadenswain158 We’ll there you go, that’s why it’s still running. It’s got a manual 🤣. Pretty sure the trans in my CR-V is going out. But I 100% agree, keep up on maintenance, and your vehicle will last a life time
@@namesdom Have you kept up maintenance on transmission? Just wondering cause I have a 2012 with 111,000. No problems or anything. Had drain and fill at @98,000 miles.
