G'day mate. I have owned a 2022 FTR carbon for 1 yr now and like you I love it. The 17 inch wheels make a huge difference and am currently running Michelin Road 6s on it. I also believe the tune was changed and i have never experienced any surging in the throttle. Biggest one day trip is 645kms, a bit sore by the end of it but to be expected. Great seating position and an absolute blast. Thanks for the vid

Awesome video! I’ve had my 2022 FTR for over a year and I love it. The Loydz’s tune makes a huge difference!

great vid. cheers for sharing your experiences with it. How have you found the seat? The 2022 I rode I would really say the seat was pretty harsh. Although I was in jeans not leathers and maybe it would break in a bit with wear and tear.. I've asked tss what price the comfort seat would be to swap into a deal. we'll see what they say.. Looking forward to hearing about how the tune goes. Cheers again.

I don't mind the seat on this one. I know the newer ones are slightly different. But I've done 2 hour stretches at a time on this one comfortably

The biggest issue I have with this bike is the riding position. The seat sits so high that it offers absolutely zero wind protection and feels a little awkward and you cant really tuck in on it. It almost feels like riding an adventure bike without a windscreen. Also to get optimal cornering ability you have to cram you balls up against the tank, but then youre sitting straight up. I don't know, coming off of sport bikes and hyper nakeds it just feels kinda weird to me. Plus its like a 100 pounds heavier compared to an mt09 or xsr900 or any other similar bike. Oh and it doesnt come with a quickshifter. I do really like the suspension on the carbon R though.

That's interesting!! I find the opposite with wind resistance and riding position. I am 5"11, so maybe that makes a difference? As with all bikes, there are things that differ for all riders, it's always about what's more comfortable for you! I also haven't found the need for a quick shifter on mine, it shifts super fast as it is!

@@Mr.BradRaven might be because I only got to ride my friends 2019 previous model with the 2 inch higher seat and 19 inch front wheel. Those 2 changes make it feel very different and hefty around corners. I just went and test rode a 2023 carbon and it does feel much better. Especially with the online suspension. Still heavy to me though considering I ride sportbikes but it handles it well. The 2019 feels better on dirt/gravel roads but the 2023 was a lot more competent on the road. I'm highly considering buying a 2022 S model on discount. As for the quick shifter I can do without, but for $20k the new ones should have one for that price.

I have the 2019, I’m 5 foot eight, I don’t notice the wind, but I agree I’d love a quick shifter

Hi mate! You mentioned getting the number plate moved. Have you managed to get that done? I’m in NSW and was wondering what is available legally for the positions

I haven't yet mate, but I am looking at getting a Naked Racer Moto relocation kit, it uses the original indicators and lights and relocates it under the seat. Looks super nice and it's Aussie made! Check them out at www.motorcyclestuff.com.au

Can you do a muffler delete to see how it sounds with revs and while driving it?

No, sorry, it's not something I would do. If you check out @nbtclothing I'm pretty sure he has a toce low mount fitted to his FTR, which is pretty close to a straight pipe. He has videos of it on the street too.

Absolutely, With a tune, the bike runs way better than stock. I have a 19 race replica. I love it. I have no dislikes about it. It's a tough bike. It's a fast Bike be careful it will surprise you.
