Following my video about decks that need to earn their keep, today I am sharing the decks that won me over the first time I read with them. When I was gathering the decks for this video, I was really surprised to note that I nearly talked myself out of a whole handful of these! I would watch any number of “I love my things” videos, it feels like a big beautiful gratitude practice to share these sorts of feelings.

Nothing wrong with expressing “I love my things!“. Things, or tools, help us in our creativity and our advancement on our path. Nothing wrong with that. I know exactly what you mean about seeing a deck online that you instantly want to purchase, but then when you get it in your hands, it totally falls flat. I had that experience with the tarot of the sidhe recently. I love, love, love the artwork, everything about it, but I read with it for a month straight, And I got nothing from it. I was so disappointed. I just purchased the heart and hand tarot. I have never seen that deck before and it’s gorgeous! And I do not have a black-and-white deck yet because I’ve been waiting for the one that speaks to me. Which this one did. So thank you for that!

Terra Volatile ships from Portugal! And, for me, it's as close to a "soul deck" that I think I can get.

I was the same with the Ritual tarot but recently I’ve noticed something alarming. I use it rarely because it is part of my big month-ahead reading. Apart from that I used it only a couple of times. However, the corners have already started disintegrating and chipping.😱 I am not beating on my deck, and don't even know riffle shuffling so there is nothing explaining it. This was expensive and supposed to have a good cardstock but now I'm afraid to use it more… anyone with the same experience?
