We're talkin' about yesterday's memories being today's treasures-what are some of those memories you treasure most?

My grandmother touched hers biscuits with her knuckles like that when she made her biscuits. Made tears come to my eyes because it was such a special thing to watch her and cook with her when I was a child. ❤️

Those biscuits look delicious! Can’t wait to try them. Memories is so special just thinking back. My mother would get up every morning at 5:30 am and make breakfast for my Dad before he left for work. Everyday she made homemade biscuits using lard, buttermilk, self rising flour. She always had a meat bacon or sausage and eggs. It was my Dad’s favorite. When we got up she would have us kids breakfast made and get us dressed for school. She would already be washing clothes and cleaning up the kitchen. She would take us to school and then she went to work her full time job. Bless her sweet heart because we always came home to a clean house and we always sit down to a homemade supper. Her day never ended until all work was done, baths were given, and to tuck each one of us in our beds and kiss us goodnight 😘. I had the best mother anyone could ask for. She passed away 2 yrs. ago this March I miss her dearly. So to everyone who still has their Mother please hug her and let her know how much you love and appreciate her. Because when they are gone you will miss them with your whole heart. God Bless!

I enjoy seeing Michael in your kitchen. He is so cute and I get so tickled at him. Yall make such a cute couple. This recipe for biscuits sound so good, I will have to try them. There is nothing better than a good biscuit. I used to never make biscuits, but I have been using self rising flour and heavy whipping cream, that are pretty good for someone that has never made a hot biscuit. I put them in a cast iron frying pan and they do taste good for someone that has never attempted to make a biscuit. This recipe sounds so good, I will have to try this. Thank you Paula. I look forward to watching you every morning. You bring me so many memories of my mother and I watching you every Saturday morning on the FN. I miss my mother so much, but you will always have a special place in my heart.

Good morning Miss Paula and Mr. Michael. Those biscuits look fabulous. I wonder if you could substitute sprite or ginger ale for the 7-Up? Could you taste the sodas' flavor in them? I'm imagining strawberry pink biscuits with strawberry jam ,grape soda biscuits with grape jelly , or maybe ginger ale biscuits with cream cheese and salmon. If any of ya'll have experimented with soda flavors let Miss Paula and us know please.

My husband is the same way. When he sets his mind to something, he just does it. For example, February of 2020 he decided after 25+ years to quit smoking, and he has not touched a cigarette since. I have never met a person to not slip at least once when quitting smoking but he did and I am proud and utterly impressed by what he can do when he really wants to.

My Aunt Kathy’s recipe ! Paula she was soooooooo proud to tell me she sent her recipe to you ! She was especially joyful to here you talk about her mama ( my grandmother ) . My mother-in-law, whom I adore, is a good country cook. She gave me a recipe when I got married, for what she called Popeye's-style biscuits, made with 2 cups baking mix, 1/4 cup sour cream and 1/2-2/3 cup ginger ale. Then you mix them up, roll them out {she just patted them out} cut them out, line them up on a baking sheet or in a cast iron skillet, bake them at 425 til golden, about 12 minutes or so, basting with melted butter about 8 minutes in. So light and fluffy! My husband loved them! 😊

We punch down the biscuits to make them rise evenly with the edges, otherwise they rise higher in the middle and crack. My grandmother taught me when I was young. This is Lisa Tew, I’m using my husband’s Facebook account. He can make toast.😜

I know it isn't considered "clean" keto, but I have made real 7-up biscuits and keto 7-up biscuits. Both are yummy! For the keto version, use Carbquick for the biscuit mix and lemon lime zevia instead of 7-up. So good!

Love them but now I make them keto style . However being 66 years young I have to say this recipe so so not new except the name . I have put sour cream and club soda in my homemade pancakes since 1977 . Also in cakes and biscuits . Never called them 7 up anything . We just called it club soda pancakes and biscuits

My biggest cooking regret is not getting my MeMaw's freezer strawberry preserves recipe. It's the one thing I have never been able to recreate in my own kitchen. There was never anything I liked better on biscuits. P.S. I make these same biscuits with Dr. Pepper when we are having ham steaks for supper. Something about that smoke with the unique hint of the soda flavors, mmm perfect!
