We love to smoke a ton of meats and have friends over. Then pair with your classic sides. Potato salad, corn on the cob, beans, etc.

Looks good! I like to add molasses and bacon to the top and cook it low and slow so the brown sugar caramelizes, making it thick and gooey sticky! 😊

My best friend introduced me to the joys of eating plain potato chips dipped in pork n' beans straight out of the can. I also like to dip cheesy puffs in refried beans. I haven't met a bean that I didn't like. My mother would make a baked bean casserole simulator to this except she didn't saute her onions and she didn't put tomatoes in it. She would "jazz up" pork n' beans. I miss her beans.

This is my kind of recipe, because I’m a lazy cook and enjoy eating baked beans!🤤 I could definitely imagine some lil’ smokies in there, but also some finely ground hamburger with bacon bits, on the side of my mom’s golden potato salad and my hamburgers! I usually will add ground mustard, garlic, rosemary, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper to the ground meat. My aunt Jaunita would make some delicious baked beans and bring them to family gatherings. They had ground beef and crushed pineapple, maybe some bacon bits as well if I recall correctly. I’m making myself hungry!!!👍🏼🤤🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

My mom’s baked beans were The Best!! So decadent and rich and sweet and dark! She baked them in those big oval roasting pans and served them right out of the pan at family gatherings. Not sure what kind of beans she used, but they were big (maybe “Great Northern”?), handfuls of dark brown sugar, thick bacon-y pieces mixed right in (“pork ends” or some such thing), maybe ketchup (not sure)…Basically yummy thick “BBQ sauce” type flavors! No tomatoes, no mustard, no ground meats, no little canned “pork n beans.”

I love baked beans. I do a similar recipe in the crockpot. And I do add hamburger. It's my version of cowboy beans. It's one of my most requested things to take to parties and cookouts. Thanks for sharing with us Bobby! Hope ya'll are having a great week and God bless!

You mentioned mustard in hamburgers, here in SoCal at In'N'Out Burgers they have a mustard burger you can get. They put mustard on the griddle and fry the patty in it, YUM!! Melaney from SoCal

He’s using canned baked beans that already have been sweetened with molasses/brown sugar and he added a little more brown sugar that has molasses as well🤷‍♀️

no need to add salt to canned tomatoes or canned beans unless you want to give your guests heart attacks. a little more brown sugar and dijon mustard. molaases would be great in this dish
