I just made Michael's tuna salad and it is WONDERFUL!!!!! I have never been able to make good tuna salad before but always used the canned tuna version. The jarred tuna filets and the dill picked relish make all the difference, in my opinion. Finally, a tuna salad recipe that I like. Well done, Michael!!!!

That’s exactly how I was raised to prepare tuna salad. Right down to the dill relish. Thank you both 👍🏻

1) Tonnino Tuna Filets (preferably packed in olive oil - drained & finely separated) 2) Celery (finely chopped) 3) Onions (chopped small) 4) Vlasic Dill Relish (strained) 5) A few dashes of pepper... 6) Eggs (steamed & preferably finely chopped) 7) Hellman's Mayonnaise Sounds and looks tasty! 😉

Cream of tuna over some great boiled potatoes is really good too! I've had it as a kid and haven't had it ever since! The cream sauce, starting out with a roo, butter, salt and pepper is all that you really need!

When my mother would make tuna salad, she would use her homemade and home canned green tomato relish in her tuna salad. Since I’ve never had any relish as good as hers, I usually just use sweet pickle relish myself. Good job Michael!

I LOVE mayonnaise! Ever since I was a kid. I used to sneak spoonfuls of it out of my grandma’s kitchen. She was from Georgia. My mom was from Minnesota and she liked miracle whip she wouldn’t eat anything else. So we always had a jar of each in my house when I was growing up.

I made this recipe today for our lunch. I used canned tuna in water. I used a strainer to remove the water. I also happened to have Romaine lettuce leaves to use instead of a roll and, it is delicious! I also want to tell you that I try to add shaved carrot to my tuna salad giving it another healthy addition. 💗"💗and best dishes..." to Paula and Michael.

The Tonnino tuna in a jar that Michael uses isn't available in any grocery store I've ever been in (near San Francisco), so I ordered it online. $20+ for two 6.7 oz. jars (totaling 13.4 oz.) packed in olive oil yielded 9.2 oz., once the oil was drained. Yes, the tuna has good flavor, solid quality pieces. Is it in MY budget? No, at least not the online price. In the meantime, I'll be enjoying tuna sandwiches on sourdough bread, tomatoes stuffed with tuna salad, and green salads topped with a big scoop of tuna salad.

I know my fave is Best Foods Mayo n Ur's is Prob called Hellman's same co. & the dill will be my preference from the cold container frig area..if not the shelf store ones will work also n once opened go in the home frig. Stay in top of making efforts to have immune system at par. & know Sugar n Sub Sugars as well + Bad Carbs Big Culprits. There are now safe alternatives of sweetner's that will be ok n couple that say tolerable by many diabetics..( something like that.) 👊🏼 👊🏼 💜 Gt' G'ma 🌹 in Calif near San Diego. Y’all just made my day so much better with your laughter and love! My Mama made her’s very similar to this, but when she and my Daddy were going to eat it as a salad(not in a sandwich), she would always add it to cooked cubed potatoes. Sorta like Potato Salad with Tuna! Sure do miss them, but I am blessed to have great memories especially in the Kitchen! Thanks, y’all for the happy smiles❣️

Your both filled with love and laughter which brings so much joy to the family. I love tuna salad. I make it about 3 times a week for lunch. I also use dill relish and I add just a little tony chesires and mustard to it. I buy the tuna in the pouches, I sure did not know it comes in a jar too. I will check it out. Love yall to pieces. There's tuna filets we've been getting from Walmart for about $8. Frozen, and they're pretty good. I'll try this salad with it. When you said fresh tuna it never crossed my mind to use that before. Now I have to try. Thank you for sharing.

I'll have to try it with the dill relish and the Jared tuna with oil. I'm 70 and have been making tuna salid this way for 50 years except with sweet relish and tuna in water. Never met any one who put eggs and relish in their tuna salad. Can't wait for more recepies.
