I don't know which woman you are talking about because there were lots of visitors in the Church, but ever since the Second Vatican Council in 1962 indicated that women are no longer required to cover their heads when entering a church, there has been a decline in the practice of wearing veils. However, there are many women who still continue the practice of veiling, young and old. It is now more of a personal practice or could be common practice based on the church the woman attends. ❤
