But THEN there wouldn't be _A Story._ "They" wouldn't have a reason to scout locations, build sets, hire actors, camerafolk, sound technicians & grips (whatever they are). "They" wouldn't have a reason to spend painstaking hours learning lines, practicing techniques, viewing 'dailies' (another whatever they are) or editing miles of film & cutting out the pieces that don't progress _The Story_ in a logical or amicable way. And IF "They" didn't do all of that, then box their Masterpiece up & send it to a Theatre Near You - or possibly record it on DVDs, then box it up & send it to SomeplaceYouRent,Buy,OrStream movies from Well... the last 10 months of most of us marinating in our own little bubbles would be *_so_*_ much more _*_BORING_* & harder to bear. Just sayin'.
:56 "You see only what you want to see when you want to see it." Based on this definition, it's not that she CAN'T see or hear them, it's that she doesn't want to ACKNOWLEDGE them. She's choosing to ignore these people and things. We literally do this every day with people who annoy us, or people with whom we're angry. The "I'm not talking to you" and the "you're dead to me" routine. This doesn't require an ophthalmologist or an optometrist. How did this movie get green lit?

Looks good, and actually corresponds to reality, I know people who choose to ignore what they hear and what's in front of them in certain situations, who choose not to see the whole picture, and people who choose to ignore other people, sometimes the closest ones - happens often in real life. So, I like the perspective this film takes.

OMG, the core idea is "if someone you like can't see you, how will you react to that", whoever wrote this must be rich and pretty his/her whole life, that's everyday for me and I imagine most people in life, we have to work really hard for love.
This movie is bull, but I like the concept of "selective perception", I think EVERY human being suffers from that. Every single one. We need to discuss that more.
Now, this comment is probably answered in the movie, so fair enough, but, based on what the trailer shows you : This dude, whom she has never seen, and therefore has never had an interaction with, somehow falls deeply in love with her and follows her around like a ghost from her perspective...How in the flying fuck is this not creepy as all hell O.O.
Aidan Turner is just trying to prove that he could have played all three leads in Being Human; vampire (Being Human), werewolf (Mortal Instruments), and now ghost (this). Note; I know he’s not a ghost in this, but my point still stands.
Again, a movie that is made without hundreds of million of dollars. Just for that, we might want to be grateful there are still people actually making movies rather than marketing vehicles. Now let's check this out.
