Very nice pic of Lou Reed and Andy Warhol :) Also a very nice pic of Freddie Mercury and his partner :) The guy in a flannel shirt with a beard looks, to me, like gay porn star Al Parker :) Excellent job all round :)

When I made the video originally, I had no idea it was Al...and I wasn't familiar with Steve. So glad someone id'ed them for me. What a beautiful couple.

Thank you Collide Press! These photos are so inspiring. They show us that things haven't changed much throughout history if at all. Some of these couples may have been platonic "buddies," but whether or not they 'did it' is not the important thing IMO. The important thing is how clear it is that these guys loved each other. You can see it in their faces and their body language. Even those macho guys with big beards in their butch uniforms, one can easily imagine their making love all night.

We'll never know anyone's story from a single frame (likely not even our own lol) but we can get a glimpse of their timeless humanity and genuine affection. Even if it only lasted till the next frame, every bit of love adds us. We need more of it in this world, imo.

Another great vid. Love the music. You have some wonderful shots new to me: love 'em. I love the look of the smaller guy at 0:27--great, sweet expression. Also love the expression of the taller guy at 1:28. such intensity. Finally, I would LOVE to know the thought behind the inscription on the very first pic. It is certainly true that we should "let not [our] hearts be troubled." Thank you for your great work. Lee

Interesting how in so many pics their arms are so casually draped over each other, or in some they are staring intently into each other’s eyes. Signs of true affection. But oh the boldness at 2:43 as if his hand is hiding something he doesn’t want to show up in the photograph.

@@CollidePress plus, wouldn't that particular photo have been from the late 70's-early 80's? i think one of both of them might also be porn stars (Al Parker with the beard?)-either way, lovely guys who clearly didn't have to hide their sexuality as many featured here may have had to so for their own safety.
