Today we are dismantling the belief that love is earned by being exceptional, something that seems to drive so many of us to pursue excellence in the arts, in business, academia or athleticism. I explore where I think this belief comes from, my experience moving through the world with this belief system, what it has taken to see beyond it, and why I think social media is forcing us to face our fear of being ordinary.
