Strange coincidence seeing this. A year ago- on July 4th- my fiancé broke up with me… with a big reason being that I was rushing things and not being in the moment. I had also came to that same realization that love- as well as life- is a marathon, and not a race. Either way, I wasn’t prepared. To prepare better for love and life, I decided to train to run a marathon… and I decided to run it on the 1 year anniversary of my break up. Even though mistakes were made in my preparation, my training, and on race day, I did end up finishing the marathon. Lots of lessons learned for myself. Normally I don’t comment but I thought the coincidence of this coming out on such an important day for me and with the exact thoughts I was having was kinda crazy.
Sorry to hear that the relationship didn't work out, but at the same time I'm glad that you were able to find the strength to reflect and improve from the the person you were before! Congrats on finishing that marathon too btw 👍
