There was definitely a point where Tanya and Tanyel were close. During the earlier part of the series, Tanya said that Tanyel and Anna-May were her closest pals on Aftersun.

You do not see all of the 24 hours. In the beginning you literally saw that they were good friends in the debriefs holding hands and dancing and all. After coming out and seeing the conversation that Olivia, Shaq and Tanya had with Jordan. She seems to not like them anymore so in the interviews she mentions only the other ones. And in the Reunion she literally still defended Tanya. And you can have multiple friends you know. You can see Zara and Tanyel are very close now. Zara said in interviews that Tanyel and Tanya were her besties in the villa did we see that NO. You don't see everything !!!!!

Tanyel came out and found out what they were saying behind her back (we know this 100%) and that it wasn't their place to say (regardless of the circumstances it is generally not good to get involved in other people's business that does not concern you and to spread gossip).
