I'm sure there have been many lousy "Lady" songs, too. It's just that since it's a very common title, there have been multiple successes, and those are the ones we remember. This was written by guitarist Graham Goble. He and fellow guitarist Gerry Bertelkamp (aka "Beeb Birtles") wrote most of the band's hits, either singly or together, but Goble also served as the band's arranger. (Lead singer Glenn Shorrock also wrote songs, including "Cool Change", but it was Goble and Birtles who did most of the work.) This is lovely, but I'm still waiting for the slightly faster stuff, including "Help Is on Its Way" (which I recommend every time, lol), "Lonesome Loser" and "Take It Easy on Me". Keep going! Also, a note of caution. The "Little River Band" currently on tour is basically a bunch of ringers; as Shorrock, Goble and Birtles left the group, they lost the rights to the name, and even after they've reunited, they can't get the name back. So their most recent work is just as "Birtles Shorrock Goble".

Something I noticed on this listen of this song. During the verses, the primary harmony is below the melody. But during the chorus, it's above it. No big deal. Just another example of the creative way s LRB plays with harmonies.

No, they are not at all underrated. They were massive in the USA; their sales would've made them huge Millionaires. They were huge in their homeland Australia before they went and conquered the USA. People who claim certain Artists are 'criminally underrated band' have no idea about history and facts. "Diamantina Cocktail' was the first Australian album to reach Platinum sales in the USA. I've seen a lot of comments on You Tube, whereby people claim an Artist to be 'criminally underrated ' when they aren't. It's like saying that THE BEATLES were 'criminally underrated ' It's ridiculous and dumb.

Hi Jay and Amber, one of the songs from The Little River Band I recommend is "Reminiscing" It's a song that John Lennon's wife Yoko Ono said was his favorite song from the 1970s. The other songs from The Little River band that are great is "Help is on the Way", "Take it Easy On Me" , and "Night Owls" Glenn Frey from the Eagles said this was the best singing group in the 1970s.

I have chronic pain from a worsening case of Tourette's Syndrome that is just driving me nuts today. On the good side, your reactions help tremendously to ease my pain. I have also been dealing with a lot of medical neglect because of doctors not listening to me. I come to Jay and Amber’s page and use it to escape for just a little while from the world. Hope it was the real LRB and not the group currently using the name which has no connection with the original group but got the rights to the name and the music through legal manoeuvring. Reminiscing is one of their best songs in my opinion. One of my favs. Help Is On Its Way, Happy Anniversary, Lonesome Loser, Take It Easy On Me are others to check out. They were the prom favorites for slow dance and slow skate when I was a teen in the 80s. Great Aussie invasion band

Great song and band - their song reminiscing is the biggest song in the USA eve by an Australian band. Oh also, for Jay add the movie reactions - you guys are pretty good, BUT never NEVER talk about your Call of Duty skills/games when reacting to a military movie (its pretty insulting and sad). Love, love, love this song! Takes me back to my teens, and they were my second live concert (they were with Nitty Gritty Dirt Band). Gorgeous harmonies in this one!

I know every lyric to almost every song. They're just that great. They dominated the airwaves when I was in high school. They remain in the top 5 of all time in my playlist.

Yes! Lots of songs called “Lady.” Love them all. DEFINITELY including this one!Had it(and others) on vinyl record. I don’t think y’all have done their mega hit “Lonesome Loser.” (The one y’all started with is more of a deep cut…the reason why I always say those are not good for first timers..) (My opinion -🤚🏼plz no debaters in comments) Again “Lonesome Loser” should be next. Then “The Night Owl.”🙂✨🤞🏼🤞🏼
