Oh, PLEASE make a video on Sex Ed in Singapore. I grew up unlike most Singaporeans; my parents didn't make the topic of sex a taboo. Although I find it weird to talk about that with my parents, their attitude encouraged me to view sex as something normal and a desire people will have one form or another (not the literal piston exercise). I've has issues with the MOE's sex ed policy and curriculum since I was 14, when I was kind of well-exposed to many different opinion on sex, relationship and marriage. The abstinence-only approach and dodgy "standard responses" from teachers really triggers me. I would really love to hear your opinion as an adult who has gone through the MOE sex ed curriculum and who is sexually active. I am currently in JC and no way in the world that what they teach is preparing the young folks for what they're willing to try.
you're so so lucky!! my mom was pretty open but she had a very limited scope of knowledge and YA omfg i've always felt very frustrated with sex ed in singapore and I've heard things that adults have said to students that are SO HARMFUL and toxic to growing youths.I learnt about birth control and health/safety incredibly late, while I was out of singapore entirely. Which is INSANE to me - especially when I've always been naturally curious and use the internet daily lmaooo. Can't imagine how many other singaporeans have to learn about sex ed the hard way or just stay ignorant etc. I'd really love to talk about it too, hopefully I can read up more and ask for opinions to make a holistic video on our perception of sex ed in singapore.

I felt the chills because I had the same parallel experiences you've had. I'm also a pan and now that I'm dating my first girlfriend (all my exes were guys). I've grown to be more liberal and open-minded towards sex and I agree with you about how it's such a taboo topic. I discuss about it a lot with my GF and it really draws our relationship closer than ones I've had with my exes.
Personally, I think it's important to tell younger kids that sex should not be the focus on 1 party pleasing the other to the point they forgo their own pleasure. It should be mentioned that it's meant for 2 because in Singapore, we are still living the old tradition where many people still think that pleasing the guy is more important than their own pleasure.
