My son's son passed away at 21 months and while we were all devastated, I truly believe he was a teaching soul. My son's life took a turn that put him on a lot better path.

Allison, I love your concept that the sixth stage of grief is connecting, and it's so true. I grieved my father for years, and I met a medium who read tarot cards and became a friend. We would trade Reiki sessions for readings. In the first session she did with me, my father came through spectacularly - he blew the door to her balcony open, and the direction of the door was such that it did not face the wind. She came to my place one day, and I asked her if she had her cards and could do a reading after her reiki session. I told her there was a reason but didn't want to tell her what it was then. We sat at my dining room table. She was to my right, and to my left was a vase with a dozen roses my husband had bought me for my birthday five days before. As she was doing the reading, I saw a dark shadow come down in my left peripheral vision, like a hand. As the shadow came down, she said, "Holy S***, did you see that." I turned, and one petal fell off one of the roses. Being a smart ass, I said, "Well, they are five days old". She gave me a look like, come on, you know better than that. :) And, of course, I did - every other rose was still absolutely perfect. I told her I wanted a reading that day because it was my father's birthday. So I got a belated birthday greeting from him.

We lost our grandson 6 months ago. We are just shattered. He gave no signs on the day of. My daughter in law found him. He considered her his mom. Him our mom didn’t treat him good at all. CPS just took her other son away from her. I’m really struggling with this. Thank you for all you do.❤

Fun interview! I've never heard Sophia's perspective before. She totally does have that nurturing energy for sure. She definitely has a strong presence. I don't agree with ranking one type of grief as harder than another. Having lost my sister, she was like a twin to me and it was the worst thing and still is the worst thing. When my sister past, I literally felt like I was missing body parts, we were that connected. But, I have never been a mother, so I can see why you would have that perspective. It would be fun to have the whole family on together!

Possibly the woman whose daughter died will become a medium and learn to communicate with her daughter as the veil is thinning for everyone. Her daughter did not have to go through losing her mom eventually or the pain of that. If one is close to anyone it is not easy to lose them. Twin flames is even harder I imagine. Some souls guide one better from beyond and maybe 14 years was enough for whatever her role was on Earth. I'm coming. I want to be here for a short time only, that is enough for me in this lifetime. I would rather help guide from a different vibration.

My "Mother-in-law" had a dream when she was a young single woman about riding on the back of of motorcycle with a young man she really loved. I was excited about this, as I've been binge watching Medium from the beginning after not seeing it since it first aired. But I have been so disappointed to hear so much incorrect information being shared like Twin Flames, reincarnation and other New Agey things. A child's death is never predestined. The things we manifest and attract are a direct reflection of our soul condition. When harm or death happens to a child, it is from emotional injuries in the parents, because the child's will is still developing. This is never about blame, since most people are uneducated and unaware about Divine Truth, about God and about their own human soul. But even if you are ignorant of gravity, it will still operate. Around 7 years old, we all start to develop our own free will but there is obviously overlap there in early life as we turn into adults. And everyone inherits the emotional injuries of our parents, until we use our own free will to make another choice. The way to make another choice is to grieve. When we fully experience the painful emotions, we release them from our soul, rather than suppressing them with false beliefs and addictions that help us avoid our pain. We are all tasked with developing a loving will. The difficult part of this is that most people are ignorant of how the soul works, how God's laws work. So if, for example, a 12 year old girl is raped by her own father and gets pregnant, it's hard to accept that a desire deep in her soul called in the soul of that child, that there is something unique to the personality of the child that the mother wishes to experience. If she is suppressing this, she may even abort the very child that she called in. If someone tries and tries to conceive and their babies keep dying, there are obviously intense emotions that are preventing the child's body from being sustained in the environment of the mother's body, or the father's projections. They may think they want a child, but they are having one for unloving reasons and may not accept the true nature of the child they are attracting. Perhaps the mother has unresolved resentment of men from past traumas and her baby boys keep dying. Perhaps the father is suppressing his own homophobia and children with a gay soul cannot live in their environment. Our emotions are very, very powerful. The human soul exists outside of the physical universe. The language of the soul is emotion. So our souls are more powerful than even the sun. The emotions we project at others have a profound effect. Everyone is spirit influence, and our emotional injuries are what cause negative spirit influence. Even many mediums who think they are channeling some guide, are just speaking the incorrect beliefs of a spirit who is not in that high of a place, perhaps a 1st dimension spirit and not an actual guide in the 8th sphere. It's really important to feel our emotions fully, to become more sensitive so that we can discern these things and don't choose beliefs that support the suppression of our emotional pain. We can handle them, they are just feelings and won't kill us. But shoving them down will.

Allison, what is the right thing to say when someone dies and you are trying to comfort their loved one. I have been told that saying I am so sorry for your loss is insensitive because somehow that makes it about yourself that you pity them. I was in a yoga teacher training, including astrology, past lives etc. But the missing lesson was if not saying that then what? This includes the loss of beloved pet that needed to be put to rest due to old age or illness or a violent death. How do we comfort the living without displaying pity. OR was I told complete bullshit by a misguided yoga instructor with her misguided training book?
