Sadly at 86, Enge’s voice has gone, and concerts are embarrassing. I now after 50 years watch only his old videos, no longer attend concerts. In contrast Enge’s ex friend Tom Jones, 82, continues to perform at the same high level… I saw in concert in August 2022
Yesterday, November 4, I had the opportunity to take my wife to see Engelbert sing live one more time to celebrate our 42nd. anniversary. This great singer, despite having physical problems, has not lost anything of his great voice. Best of all, my wife was thrilled to see her favorite singer so close to her. Time shouldn't go through this kind of stars that make us happy, and at the same time make us dream awake. Let's keep listening to Mr. Engelbert Humperdinck so that he will never be forgotten by the new generations.
Can never hear this song often enough, just something about Enge, the song, the words, the melody and how Enge says the word, heart! He looks like he is just so happy, standing there, and singing! This is what he was born to do! and thank you Lord, for that!
There is no one like Engelbert. We all enjoy him so much. I have watched him since the 60's and he is still as wonderful as ever!!! Cheers and Love forever.
I am glad I grow up with Engelbert song. Talented and natural singers of yore needed no gadgets. Just pure natural voice. Thank you, Engelbert Humperdinck.
He had so much more vocal range than the typical crooner as they labeled him, he really showed it here, he should have done more like this, awesome vocal power.
Finally,,, I will see with my family this legend singer on the 9th of March 2019 whilst on tour in Melbourne Australia. I am 52 years old and have been listening to this man's music for as far as I can remember. Can't wait. Thank you Engelbert for for so many years of passionate singing.
This is excellent. But I honestly think he was in his prime in 2000. His full concert at the London Palladium. He was 63/64 depending the month He performed. Always an excellent voice, but as I said, in his prime. So handsome too!
@@wildchild8685 i don't feel offended.. eventhough i am not handsome/tall..but a HERCULES that can sing REALLY well are stupendously intertaining.just my small opinion
Soooooo Beautiful......Engelbert Humperdink.......Every Winter,Every Summer, Every Fall.......Love me always.....With everybeat of your heart......What a beautiful song......
Out of all the hundreds of songs that Engelbert has ever sung, This one song will always be my favorite, even before Release Me, which was how I found out there was an Engelbert! Just has that extra certain something........... xxx
The first time I ever heard this song was during a haircut in a barbershop in Chiang Mai (of all places), while my girlfriend was waiting for me. I had never heard of Engelbert Humperdinck before. This have been one of our favorite songs ever since.
Englebert is not a crooner. A crooner has a more limited voice range. Englebert has a wide range. Englebert has objected to him being classified as a crooner. Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby and Perry Como are examples of crooners.
I know I'm a party of one here, but love his pinky ring. On certain men, they look tough and protective wearing one. Enge is one of those men. Just love him-- the whole package.
I will love this song forever. I just can't get enough of how Enge sings this, especially when he says heart! I have to listen at least a few times a day.... it i just so hypnotizing to me. I will Enge, love you always! xxx
Great post of a great song that until now I had only heard the studio version. He almost never sings a song the same way...just when you think you've heard a version that can't be topped...he tops it.
EH in his prime was indeed a phenomenal singer! The incredible thing is that even though he is in his seventies, he is still singing and performing well. I attended his concert in Toronto earlier this year and I really enjoyed the performance.
Love this live version of this song instead of the studio version it is amazing. It looks like. I am watching a 3 dimension of. Engelbert. Humperdinck. Love this singer so much and he has a. God given voice in the world.
I grew up listening to this great man on records,my mom would play them all day as we did house cleaning every Saturday, soon I would look foreword to Saturdays,so i could hear him. Now I come to you tube to listen. When my mom passed away in 1993, I took all of her record collections, cuz I knew the others would have just yard sale them.I still have them I just don't have a record player.
Yes sitting here listening to the voice of an angel. He just a wonderful singer love his music to much. I needed some thing to make me feel better about myself and what I am doing with my life. God bless this man and his blessings.
Yes he is the man with that voice that makes ur heart sing. That voice says it all. Believe me. I put my ear plugs on so that I just hear him nothing else.
This is and has always been my most favorite song that Enge has ever sung. The power in his voice is just awesome, and the way he looks right into the camera, as though looking into your yes, well it is just too beautiful. I can never get enough of listening, as it just makes me want to hear it, again and again........ thanks for this post, the best!
What an incredible, beautiful voice and an amazing performance. Engelbert is the best singer and entertainer in the world. No doubt. Under recognised. His performances today are just as fabulous and he has only gotten to be even warmer and more loving towards his fans and audiences. A very special talent and an amazing singer. Beautiful in every way. Thank you Enge! XX
Played this at the end of my mother's funeral in November 2015. She loved Engelbert. A fitting song to end to a life of caring and love. Thanks Mam xxx
Can't get enough of this video at the moment. Really love the sound of his voice on those high notes, e.g. the last note. Not easy to describe; a kind of glorious, full, 'booming' sound?
Raised with this genius from the first song he sang the bicycle song 50 years ago. My late Dad and my Aunt had all his albums and when you walked in the house he was singing
Reminds me of my deceased mum, she loved him, I grew up with the music of Englebert and Tom Jones, still love engs songs today, he was a great singer, much love to him x
Such a beautiful voice wish I could have seen all his shows.God put this.beautiful man on this earth ,thank you lord.God bless you Engelbert keep on going the world loves you.
His singing and tone is so glorious in this. It brings a tear every time Is this not his best live video? Perhaps and understandably his female fans might choose a different one . But for me, I can't watch this enough, and much prefer it to the studio version. Thanks Enge!
THIS PASSION IS SUCH A BLESSING...THANK YOU SWEET WOMAN HIS WOMAN PATRICIA...EVERYBODY LOVES ENGELBERT HUMPERDINK. FOR A HUMBLE PERSON LIKE HE IS...REAL
My GOD that was tremendous. The man was born to sing...he just couldn't help it. If he became an accountant, the boss would have to keep reminding him- "save the singing for your lunch hour! You're distracting everyone else!" He simply NEEDED to become a singer. The man wasn't cut out to be a 9 to 5 kinda guy...for which I'm glad....and so is my mother! She's the one who turned me on to this guy when I was a kid! I loved it too.....still do!
THE KING OF KINGS,the man has evrything, looks,a great voice, and knows how to reach people, through their hearts, not like todays singers, love you then and still love you now.thank you for all the beautiful songs, youll never be forgotten.
Good song, but it's amazing how time constraints on a TV show forced this arrangement to be played faster than its studio counterpart. But Humpy still handled it well.
