Hey Alexey I don’t understand why people use word ‘hate’ with this plugin., Feeling to plugins. it’s either they do the job or not or you don’t know how to use them
CLA Vocals is fantastic. What kind of voo-doo did they put into that thing?? Really, all of the CLA Artist plugs are great. They make producing songs a lot easier for the self-producing songwriter/arranger. They sound waaaay better than they ought to. I combine them with the Waves F6 dynamic EQ. Although I'm now delving into more advanced mixing techniques, this has been a great and affordable combo that I've really come to rely on over the last few years.
Admittedly, I haven't used CLA Vocals (and if I did, it was a long time ago). I don't hate the concept. In fact, the whole charm of those plugins was to bring in a particular engineer's audio signal chain without having to recreate every single hardware unit, let alone set up all the parameters. My attitude is "if I want 'that sound', I would use it". I've done some experimentation with those types of plugins and I think I got some good results from them. That said, I can understand if you "hate"/do not like them either because 1) you like more direct control over your processing and 2) you don't like that particular approach (and CLA has a *very* particular approach for very particular reasons).
Thanks for the comment. Waves has tons of such all in one plugins so it's kind their thing. Some 'pro' engineerings have a lot of experiance which makes sense for them to use thier own plugins chains and technics.
When I need to make a quick static mix and having clients around to pinpoint me where they wish their song to go, I call these plugins First-kiss plugins .... I have a First-kiss plugin for just about any instrument and vocals .... I have 2 for vocals : Howard Benson Vocals and CLA Vocals.... If the voxes are up and down and need more work, I use the former....but if I have well-recorded voxes, CLA is my go to. Great video and to the point.
@@UDiAudio I do not have Waves Harmony and as for Antares Harmony, it does not work well for me, too many bugs. However I don't know Sound Particles Density, I will look into this plugin. Thanks for your help.

Most DAWs now include something similar and slightly better sounding. I feel like multi-effects plugins are great for a rough mix, but ultimately producers are going to use their fav individual FX plugins. Just thinking, there’s better compressors, reverbs and delays for free, or almost free.
It’s all true yet some people don’t know how to use all these plugins and this specific plugin does a good job for what it was designed.. my opinion of course
