Snowfall is such a pleasant surprise! I love the script/dialog and the interaction amongst the characters. It is very unique and Im really enjoying it so far. And come on, who doesnt enjoy a hot vampire! 😉🔥
Snowfall is _amazing_ actually, the writing is fabulous especially in the interactions between the antagonists. Both the main leads are really good in their roles. The setting as also super atmospheric and doesn't look as anachronistic as some minguo settings I've seen. And I'm saying this as someone who is not usually a fan of vampire stories. But this one really has me hooked.
Today I watched the last episode of Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty S2. This drama was amazing. I loved this drama so much!! I heard about season 3 and I hope it is true!! Also I am watching Snowfall. I really enjoy this drama very much!! Vengo Gao is an excellent actor!!
I decided to try Snowfall just now & I'm instantly SMITTEN 😍❄️ It's so moody & dark, it makes me long for the dark half of the year lol. Both fairytale & noir, very unusual. I love it unabashedly 😁🖤🔥
Сейчас смотрю "Snowfall". Так как вампирская тематика достаточно необычна для Китая, уже за это можно поставить 5 баллов дораме. Мое впечатление от просмотра первых серий - напоминает старые очень добротные фильмы о вампирах начала 2000-х годов. Роскошный нуарный сюжет времен Республики. Игра актеров выше всяких похвал, вроде и не реализм, но им веришь. Отлично передана эта атмосфера всего действия, этой истории, города, самого времени (автомобили, телефоны, вывески, мебель). Отлично показано, кто как видит мир. Нравится, что иногда мир показывают глазами персонажей. Хороший прием. Но мне интересно сопоставить время... Очень антураж похож на наш того же времени. Кожаные плащи, музыка, телефоны, автомобили.. Там Булгаков нигде случайно не спрятался?)) И разница в возрасте актеров вполне соответствует истории персонажей и создаёт деликатную трогательную романтику. У Наны очень сложная роль. И считаю что именно она здесь главный персонаж вокруг кого и раскручивается вся эта история. Импонирует тот факт, что Гао как бы приглушил свою невероятную энергетику и своей игрой не затеняет а грамотно поддерживает молодых актёров. Не возникает ощущение что он перетягивает все внимание на себя (как это порой случается у известных актеров). Правильно старший по возрасту, регалиям и отношениям. Не люблю онгоинги, но неожиданно для себя затянуло. Надеюсь что концовка не будет слита, как это иногда /часто/ случается с китайскими дорамами.
Looking forward to Brocade Odyssey. There was nothing 'disappointing' about The Sword and The Brocade. Have watched about ten episodes of Snowfall and am mostly enjoying it. The 'vampire' is moral and doesn't want to eat on humans to the point of not even licking his lips when blood spatters his face. Of course, that could be the censorship. I really like the young FL's courage and loyalty to her hero. The other characters are mostly overdrawn, especially his male and female opponents. Love's Rebellion is next on my list. Can't resist Zhang Ling He's lips which he uses best when not talking.
Can't wait to see what you think of Snowfall. I'm on Episode 8. Gao Weiguang was born to play this role. Someone on reddit said it was poor production quality but I disagree. there are some scenes that are beautiful and moody.

I accidentally watching Snowfall while waiting new eps of Adventure behind bronze door in wetv. No idea about that drama, never heard before and never watching the actors before but i got smitten! The story easy to understand, good chemistry, beautifull costume and snowy setting really fascinating me. Gao Wei Guang really perfect for his role here, just like Nana. I don't mind with their age gap because they looks so good, so natural ❤ I hope you can do full review of Snowfall later 🥰
I just finished Snowfall. The ending felt rushed and rather incomplete, sadly. But overall, I still enjoyed the series. The soundtrack has some beautiful songs, too. I created a playlist so I can listen while I'm driving.
I hope you'll review Snowfall. It's interesting and weird at times but i must say i really like the MC interactions. Also i'm impressed by Ouyang Nana's blind acting. She makes it easily believable, definitely one of the best among any blind character i've seen on c-dramas so far. It's a very good news about Imperial Coroner finally get 2nd season but i'm trying to keep my expectation low.. i just wish they get better quality in everything and not disgracing the best parts they had from season 1. Edit: i can't wait rant about it...what a wasted potential Snowfall is.. dang i'm disappointed so bad
I'm currently following Snowfall and can testify that it's been extensively de-fanged... lol ... but it's still fun to watch ... was waiting for SSTD2 to complete airing before I start. I expect good things.
it finished airing! spoiler free but it's definitely worth the watch! A lot of cultural references about the the practices in ancient Tang dynasty, which if your history fan, this can be fun! the cases varies in pacing, but they're pretty consistent with a lot of twists and turns. the bantering between all characters add a spark of humor and bring the setting alive. i did see some discussions about some cases being a bit loose-ended, but it didn't affect the overall viewing experience for me
Please try to watch “Snowfall” Even though the vampire trope has been done before, this drama’s approach is good so far. I don’t know the FL but I really like her acting. The ML I know from other dramas and this role fits him well. I’m really liking this drama so far.
I wonder if certain shows are more popular than others, and those places are in different timezones from China, and THATS why they are aired at such an unholy hour? I know in the west "experimental titles/series" often also get "The unholy hour" timeslot. But Yeah, fortuneteller "magic" is also possible. : ).
i saw about half of 'the sword and brocade' of tang Song Yue (yun?). It is a hard hitting depiction of the ruthless domestic politics - of the elder led households, the concubine dynamics etc. s. nothing sweet or sugary about it. so, it was good because it showed all those things
Watching snowfall and love's rebellion. Idk why but snowfall gives me jane eyre vibes although the story lines are completely different😂 Love rebellion is a cute xinxia. ZLH has improved his line delivery a lot but he is not ready for long passages of monologues and dialogues yet. Will binge watch guo jingfei drama once it finishes airing. I’m waiting for you to give some review on the first look of The Tale of Pearl Girl. While I love Liu Yuning, I find that Zhao Lusi’s looks just got more and more weird since The Last Immortal, idk if it’s her make up, but she just looks like another TikTok influencer with hefty filters. It looks like Princess Agents type-of-story where the female lead need to suffer a lot.
I know it isn't something that you would like, but I enjoyed and watched the whole of The Best Day of My Life (2024), 14 33 minutes episodes. Usually I watch the first few episodes, get bored, hate the female lead, think the male lead is ugly or find something else to watch, but I watched the whole thing and enjoyed it. Maybe because the only other thing to watch is Snowfall and that I have to take a little at a time. Anyway, It might not be your cup of tea, but some of your views might enjoy it.
now that season 2 is finished, what are your thoughts on the episodes in 唐诡之西行? there's a lot of discussion on chinese social media lately, and since season 3 is about to begin filming, would love to get your perspective of the overall progression, characters, and cultural references. Personally I really enjoyed both seasons and think it's an underrated gem in the recent cdrama productions! I'm a fan of this style so the pacing feels great, especially now that they have 2 seasons to develop the main crew. What really surprised me is the amount of cultural references in the show that reflections that practices in Tang dynasty, something I haven't seen many dramas pay attention to.
